Advantages: Not a horrible smell, and it lasts
Disadvantages: I use quite a lot, runs out quickish
I love hand creams, I have skin that dries out quickly and my hands always seem to suffer, and I'm not a fan of rough, hard, dry hands, so I moisturise and always try different hand creams (never found one I liked enough to stop looking - until now)!
Planet Spa is made by Avon and at Christmas I was brought the African Shea Butter (hand and cuticle cream). The packaging is a cream coloured with white symbols, squeezy tube, in 75ml, this isn't too much and the tube I great for fitting in your handbag. It also has a capped white lid that opens and closes. The writing on the tube is dark and on the back is all the ingredients and directions.
I also have quite a sensitive nose and don't like overly smelly products, but I absolutely love the smell of this cream, I can't describe the smell it's really nice, in words I would say, body butter. It smells sweet, but not sickly or intrusive, just buttery, the smell stays on your hands and is lovely.
I like this cream due to the consistency, it looks quite thick but in fact is quite light and doesn't feel sticky or clumpy when trying to rub it in. I use this cream in two ways, at night I put about a two pound coin worth on my hands and rub it in, but not completely, then put on my cotton gloves to let it soak in. In the day time, I just squeeze a little bit on my hands and completely rub it in so there is none left.
You can really feel it on your skin, not in a bad way, your hands feel automatically softer and not sticky or anything, if I put a lot on and don't put my gloves on I find I end up having to rub it in all up my arms too, but it soaks in relatively quickly and I don't find it sticky at all. It is one of the best creams for not leaving that horrible icky feeling behind on your hands.
Overall my hands feel a lot softer and I would rate this over a lot of other moisturizers, although I use it, I don't use it specifically for my cuticles but it seems to have made them look neater and more presentable.
I have now done some research in to how much this cream costs as I will definitely be buying some more, and it's available from Avon at £3.50 per tube at 75ml. I love it and will be looking in to other products in the Planet Spa range from Avon.
Summary: Great item - a must try!
