Advantages: moisturises

Disadvantages: not the best smell for me

The Planet Spa range has been out in Avon for the last couple of years. I like this range, as i'm not sure I would say they are spa products, but they seem a bit posher and maybe a bit more luxurious than the standard products.

So what is Japanese Sake and Rice Regenerating Body Wash And Polisher? It's really just a shower gel with very fine grains in it that act as a scrub. This is not as abrasive as the usual scrubs out there.

The bottle is just a standard bottle. It's see through plastic and you can see the light orangy gel through the bottle. It has a wrap round see through label with the product details on it. The lid is a flip plastic lid and you squeeze the gel through it. The bottle size is 150ml.

The gel is a medium thick consistency and a little goes a long way. If you use this product on a shower scrunch then it foams up well. However you kind of lose the grittiness if you put it on the sponge.

As for the smell of this, it doesn't really smell of much. It's not a fresh smell, more of a musky, earthy smell. It certainly does clean and moisturises, but I usually like my gels to have a nice scent about them that linger on the skin. I've tried this once, and although I would use it again, it is not my favourite product.

The normal price for this is £3.50, but this is on offer in the current book for £2.50 and it is often on some sort of offer.

A nice enough product, but never my first choice.

Summary: this has a strange smell
