Advantages: Salty, leaves skin soft
Disadvantages: Dries out quickly
Avon originally started off as a door to door sales team of women but nowadays although this service still exists they have also enabled you to be able to buy things off the avon website. So if you don't have anyone who sells in your area you are still able to buy things from the Avon brand.
I'm really fussy when it comes to what I use on my skin as it does have a habit of being sensitive and usually only likes things that have an expensive pricetag! I tried Avon purely as a favour to a friend who had just started as a representative for them and bought a couple of things from the Planet Spa range, including this salt polisher, as they were having on offer on at the time.
The scrubs comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. When you first take the lid off you have to peel off a foil back plastic lid which seals the contents in the tub.
The first thing that hits you is the strong smell of salt which as this is a sea salt body polisher you would expect but I have found with other brands that they tend to be over perfumed which this is not.
The scrub has a layer of liquid over the top and you need to mix a little bit before you can use it. You don't need a great deal of the scrub to go on bits of the body but I would recommend a trial and error to see how much works best for you.
As you go through the tub I have noticed that the scrub does dry out a little bit and you need to add a little water to it to keep it moist.
Once you have put this on your body you scrub in a circular direction over the area it has been applied to and then you wash off. I have found that the salt does stick well to you so you might find that this is easier to get off in the shower rather than the bath.
The scrub doesn't seem to irrated my skin and definately has lots of sea salt in it. When I have washed it off my skin does feel soft a but like how it feels when I have but a body oil on so I think that this does have some form of oil as part of the scrub.
You obviously can then follow on with your normal moisturiser.
I do like this however, its not something I would rush out and buy again when it runs out. The fact that it can be difficult to rub off and having to keep it moist by adding water to the tub just puts me off and I think I will be trying some other scrubs. There are some positives to this I find is that it does leave my skin soft and its not overly perfumed like other scrubs on the market.
Overall I think whether you like this scrub or not is going to be down to personal preference and for me the 3/5 star is just to reflect this as there is a definately room for improvement in mind.
Summary: Its all down to what you prefer
