Advantages: getting your partner to do all the work
Disadvantages: too sticky
I always remember about ten years ago, a girl saying to me. "I'm envious of you as you have no lumps and bumps". Well if only she could see me now. I was then 8 stone wet through and am now 11 stone 2 1bs. I have plenty of lumps and bumps now, maybe she put a spell on me. Cellulite is something I never thought I would get. When people used to mention that Orange Peel look, I didn't know what they were talking about, oh no it will never happen to me, or so I thought. I now know it's not just overweight people who have it, even Pamela Anderson has it on the backs of her legs. It's just a build up of toxins under the skin, well that's what I've been told anyway. Being overweight, like me doesn't help, but it gives me great comfort knowing even the famous people get it, ha ha. Cellulite became attatched to me about six years ago.Instead of piling the pounds on gradually, I'm convinved I put 3 stone on all at once. Since then it's never left my side, or my bottom, it thinks it's my friend. Well I'm sorry Cellulite me old mate, but you are going to have to go. I've joined an aerobis class, and resorted to buying some Anti-Cellulite gel from Avon. I know I have to diet, or re-educate myself to eat more healthier, but I'll see how this gel goes. I did actually try it a while ago, but gave up on it after a week. Now I'm raring to go, I'm not letting it get the best of me. Iam beginning my morning with a glass of water and a slice of lemon, to detox my body, get rid of the toxins, then massage in the gel daily. Now some people might say it won't work, but because I actually sell this product as an Avon rep, I have to test it don't I? ====***==== The Product It comes in a 200ml size tube, now this has been revamped and 50ml added to it. The original one was only a 150ml size. Maybe they think that, women nowadays are becoming more obe
se and need more. It is in a peach/pink tube, with easy to flip lid. At the moment it is £10 in brochure 14, but sometimes it is on offer for two for £10, or even better still, there's an offer with other items coming free. The smell is very pleasant, to me it smells of a certain hair conditioner, but I can't remember which one. The gel dispenses easily out of the tube, but on the odd occassion, I've fired too much out. ====***==== Application Just apply after a shower onto the problem area, or areas if you are like me. I especially concentrate around the tops of my legs, and my behind.I suppose that's where us women get it mostly, I say women, as I believe men don't get it. I swear I'm coming back as a man when I die. You will find at first, that the gel is quite thick and sticky, you never think you are going to get rid of it. You have to massage it in a ciruclar movement, and it's better with two hands if you can. Even better is to get your partner to massage it in for you, then they can get their hands all sticky, oooh Matron!!!. Try to massage as fast as you can, the quicker the better, don't be soft to yourself, a bit of rough will do you good. This has to be done for several minutes, until the gel has been fully massaged in. This really needs to be done twice a day. When I first tried it, I struggled to remember to do it twice a day, but to get results, twice is better. I really will try harder this time. I do also have a body brush to get my circulation going, apparently body brushing is another way to get rid of stubborn cellulite. Well aren't I going to be lump free soon. After the gel has been rubbed in completely, your skin will still feel sticky for a while, but I don't know whether it was because I had had a bath, but I certainly felt good afterwards. Maybe it was the massage by that hunky man that popped in, but it certainly spurred me on to keep at it.
> ====***==== Side effects Well none up to now, I did read another op by someone who claimed it burnt them, and wouldn't be using it again. But it hasn't happened to me, in fact I can't feel nothing but stickiness. No tingling sensations, just a blob of cold gel on my backside. Whether it will work, is anybodies guess, i would like to think it would as it's a waste of money otherwise. In conjunction with a better healthier diet, and plenty of water, this might just do the trick. But how will I know which one worked. It could be the diet, it could be the water and lemon, or it could even be the gel. Letters on a postcard please. I will try and update after a few weeks, that's if my fingers aren't so sticky..., and Kylies manager hasn't asked me to be a stand-in.

- 18/09/02 I'd always heard it was a diet thing, and that pretty much everybody gets it... I might give this a go sometime though... |

- 25/08/02 Take it from me, it gets much worse once the veins start to show...
You might just as well stick with the booze and fatty foods that (allegedly) cause the cellulite!
(Just trying to help :) tee hee!) |
