Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work as an Avon representative when my poor health allows, mostly as a hobby, although I do love to earn a couple of pounds for my pocket at the same time!

I am a fan of many Avon products from most of their different ranges, and have been over a number of years. One Avon range in particular that appeals to me is the 'Avon Senses' range, and I am always on the look-out for new products and special offers within this range.

The Senses range covers a variety of products such as liquid soap and shower gel. I like how Avon have produced many of these shower gels with a liquid soap available to buy in the same scent, so that I can choose to use matching products if I prefer.

Within the Senses range there have recently been a few additional shower gels added into the mix, although unfortunately these new scented shower gels have not yet had soaps produced to match their scents. Said new shower gels are part of the 'Senses summer collection' and I therefore wonder whether they will be available to buy long term or whether they are simply one of Avon's passing phases. It would be a bit of a shame if the latter were true because I have tried a few of the new shower gels and am quite impressed.

The shower gel I am using at the moment is called 'Beach Party' and I got it on offer in a recent brochure for the sum of 99 pence. Considering this price is for a 250ml bottle, I thought it offered quite good value for money.

Supplied in a plastic bottle with a plastic cap on top, the picture on the label to the front of the bottle shows a rather idyllic scene - lots of sunsets and palm trees. The label also says 'fun and enticing shower gel' under the 'Beach party' name.

The first couple of times I used this shower gel I was quite bowled over by the delicious scent. Not quite able to put my finger on exactly what scent it was, I could only have described it as being quite a 'fruity' scent with a definite hint of citrus to it.

Now that I have done my research for the purposes of this review, I can see that this shower gel is actually marketed as having hints of 'pineapple and watermelon'. I didn't see this in the brochure at the time when I ordered the shower gel, but no matter... Either way, let me tell you that this fragrance is delicious! Very refreshing and zingy.

I have found that the gel is quite thick in consistency - It is obviously another good quality product from Avon, and I personally prefer thick shower gels. I find there is nothing worse than watery gels that seem to slip right off of my cloth or bath scrunchie before I have even started using the gel!

The gel lathers up quite nicely and I was impressed with the feeling of the gel when using it on my skin. I was also impressed with how it made my skin feel fairly soft when I got out of the shower - not every shower gel achieves this effect, believe me!
I did find that the fragrance from the shower gel didn't last on my skin for any significant period of time after my shower. That said though, this didn't really bother me either way and I wouldn't knock off points because of this.

If you are going somewhere hot on holiday and are looking for a zingy, fruity scented shower gel to take with you then this might well be for you.

The normal price of the shower gel is £2, but there are regular offers within the Senses range, so you might manage to pick this up for a little les.

I would award this little gem full marks! I did find this was a great addition to the Senses range and I intend to stock up on these shower gels just in case they ARE a temporary addition to the range. I really do NOT want to miss out!
