Advantages: various fragrances, cheap
Disadvantages: consistency a bit thin
Avon goes all the way back to 1886 when an American Businessman David McConnell thought it would be a good idea to sell perfumes door to door. Originally known as the Calafornian Perfume Company, the company saw the name change in 1939 to Avon and enter the UK in 1959. Today Avon is an extremely reputable and one of the leading beauty brands in the UK market.
We are all familiar with Avon and more than likely most people still get a catalogue pushed through their doors from time to time. I don't spend a great deal from Avon, because personally my tastes for the likes of cosmetics and a lot higher than what Avon has to offer, but for the likes of bath products I do like to keep stocked up and use the Avon Senses range.
Relatively new to Avon, probably been in the catalogue for about two years now, the Senses range comprises of shower gel, body scrub, bath foam and hand wash. The used to do a soap bar which was fabulous but was discontinued after a very short time.
The Avon Senses Shower Gel comes in two different sizes 250ml and a 500ml and are very competitively priced and normally are on special offer within the catalogue on a regular basis. Normally on average you pay around £2 for a 500ml bottle.
Available in various fragrances: Fantastic Day, Cool Rush, Divine Time, Re-Charge, Get Ready, My Moment, On Power for HIm and they currently have a special edition Winter Warmth fragrance which i am using at the moment. This is a spicy smell with a hint of cinnamon and takes me back to my childhood at Christmas but I can't seem to put my finger on what it reminds me of.
The product itseldf comes in see through bottles and are of various colours with colour coded labels on them, quite attractive packaging to be honest, however basic. The whole range comes in very similar packaging and it is nice to use all products at the same time to complement each other.
The Shower Gel is very good, a tiny bit only needs to be used to create a lather and the whole bottle lasts quite a few showers or baths. The consistency of the product is quite thin though and does come out pretty quickly and goes everywhere, that is the only downfall, that you drop most of it in the bath. The smell is fantastic of each and every one of them and leaves the bathroom smelling and landing smelling particularly nice for hours.
I find when I use this my skin feels extremely soft when showering and does for hours but then again that the job that it is supposed to do.
An extremely cheap product which is very good, may be worth adding a few on your order when your next Avon book comes through your door.
Oh and by the way...there is one for you guys too, which also smells very pleasant and will keep you soft too. Avon isn't all for women you know.
Gemma x
Summary: Make me smooth for hours!!!
