~Skin So Soft~

The Skin So Soft (SOS) range includes various body and shower products. The product I will be discussing today is the Dual Softening Body Oil in the 'Soft and Sensual' fragrance.

This body oil can be used over the skin daily. It contains two layers which when shaken together, create a moisturising oil for your skin. Avon claim that this body oil will leave your skin soften and delicately fragranced.

~Packaging~

Avon seem to favour basic yet functional packaging for their body products and this body oil is no different. The oil is presented in a pink tinted, transparent plastic bottle which is tall and slim. The oil can be dispensed through the spray top which is secured by a click on cap. The bottle has various bits of information on it in different languages. The bottle can be recycled and this oil has a 12 month shelf life. I personally like the design of the bottle for this type of product. Pink bottles are always a hit with a girly girl like me so I am happy to have this on display in my bathroom.

~Price and Availability~

The full retail price of this body oil is £4.10 for 125ml. It can often be found on offer at a much cheaper price or as part of a multi deal. The Avon website currently has it reduced to half price.

~My Thoughts~

I cannot say I am overly fond of oil sprays for my skin as I much prefer a body cream of some sorts. I am always willing to try new items though. My Mum gave me a bottle of this body oil as she had bought it as part of a special offer a few months ago and decided recently that she had too much stuff to use up already! I accepted happily!

When this body oil has settled, you can see a clear layer and a pink layer inside the bottle. Shaken up, the liquid turns a baby pink colour but appears clear on the skin. Using this body oil is simple and I prefer to use it after a shower. Despite being a liquid, it isn't soaking wet when it hits your skin. I use a few sprays over my arms and legs and this is more than enough. The oil sprays out only slightly damp and I dries within seconds on my skin. I often spray and try to massage the oil across my skin to avoid using too much.

This body oil doesn't leave an oily layer on the skin. My skin soaks it in just like a moisturiser and the surface of my skin is left satiny smooth which I really like. The oil isn't greasy at all - it simply leaves my skin feel hydrated and soft. The results last through the day too. I can't say the Soft and Sensual scent appeals to me a great deal. It isn't offensive in any way but I find it a little too perfumed at first. It settles on the skin to reveal a powdery, slight floral scent which is much nicer in my opinion. It lasts a few hours on the skin.

~Conclusion~

Whilst I still prefer my body lotions and butters, I do like this body oil. It is quick and easy to use and does product decent results. It lasts well too so is well worth the full price and is even better value at half price. I would buy it again.

Thanks for reading :)
