Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow Daily Body Moisturiser
Claims: "Specially formulated to provide a natural radiance, which builds to a healthy glow with continued use. "
Described as Daily Body Moisturiser - Remember it is tinted.
This is a tinted moisturiser and requires careful application. I love Avon products and always look forward to receiving the catalogue; I also frequently try out new products and as I love a bargain, try most things that are on offer from the Avon catalogue! Satin Glow features a top down flip lid and a small aperture with a stopper in the lid. It comes in a large flexible pink beige toned plastic container that is quite bulky in the hand and too big really for air travel. To use simply smooth onto the skin once you have towel dried after a bath or shower. It is essential that you carefully wash your hands after use. I have been using this product now for a number of years and I would strongly advise that you prepare your skin for a couple of days before first time use. For best results, your skin should be free from flakes, dry patches or other generally neglected problems that crop up. I use this mainly on my legs in place of a quick tan or leg makeup product. As a natural looking skin tint it is great and highly recommended. You need to ensure you carefully and thoroughly rub in to avoid streaks and use another moisturiser first on any dry areas, such as on feet or elbows for best results. The look of a tan does build with use and I start with this one and if I don't get much sun to my legs as in 2012, I then move onto the darker version.
Recyclable Plastic Bottom Down Tube
The icons on the bottom of the tube advise the user that the shelf life is 12 months once the product is opened and that the container is recyclable.
The details are printed straight onto the plastic and are clear and easy to read.
The fragrance is acceptable, but slightly chemically
What I like about it:
Gives my skin a natural sun kissed look
What I don't like:
Not a quick everyday moisturiser
In place of sudden tan products for a natural glow
People in a hurry
In conclusion, a superior product when used as a instant tanning product. The moisturising properties are adequate, but I still require a heavier duty product on elbows and such like. 5/5 as an instant self tan product, but ut doesn't quite do what it says it should, so 3/5 as a moisturiser. Therefore overall 4/5.
Easy to use, subtle
Apply with care as the results show up later.
Price and Availability: Not sure of usual price as I stock up when on offer. A large 250ml tube is good value for money though. Available via a Representative from the Avon Catalogue, Avon on-line, but not always available. Sometimes outlets such as eBay or Amazon will have it. (see the Dooyoo links).
6 months on: Better than some and worse than others
I made an order from Avon for a mixed bag of things, it was a lucky dip type offer where you didn't now what you would get, just that the value of the items would be over double what you paid - Skin So Soft Satin glow was included in my goody bag.
This is a moisturiser which is meant to build up a glow on your skin, it is for fair skin tones and comes in a tube. The price for a full size bottle can vary, I think the best price I have seen it for in the Avon book is £2, it often has a price reduction or in offers such as 3 for a fiver.
The tube says it builds a natural radiance and healthy glow. Personally I found it to be disappointing. It does moisturise well, but I found the results were not any better than I can get from a normal moisturiser.
The scent is strange, it is not unpleasant but it is quite a chemical smell which is not surprising if you look at the long list of ingredients in this lotion. It is far from natural. The scent really sticks to your sky as well which did not like. One positive I found is that this lotion does absorb into the skin well.
I do like many Avon products, but this is not a winner for me, yes it is cheap and it does soften the skin, but I really do not like the chemical scent and the fact that it does not give the 'natural glow' it promises.
Soft and Glow from Avon is a product from their Skin So Soft range which has additional moisturisers in it to make your skin super soft. The "glow" part of the name comes down to the hint of self tan that is in the product. At the moment this is unavailable from Avon but you can get it on eBay still and no doubt Avon will bring it back with new packaging at some point as they do with many of their "discontinued" products.
Soft and Glow is a dual product for me which is good as it saves time, not only does it moisturise but it also adds a bit of self tan as I slather it on. It is very much in the "gradual" self tan category and to get a very good colour I would say you need to put it on every day. I am not that good at remembering so if I was a deep bronze tan overnight I would use my favourite St Tropez. However, in terms of colour this product gives a light brown tan after one application and isn't anywhere near as orange as many of the proper "fake tans" are largely due to the fact it only gives a hint of tan. I would say that rather than looking very tanned after one application, you might just look a bit healthier of a colour than normal. After two or three days you might have a very light tan.
I personally think it is ideal for people with very pale skin and for people with more tanned skin, it just gives a slight boost. The benefit of this compared to St Tropez is that the cream is white so it rubs in really easily onto the skin rather than making you look like you are covered in mud. This means if I want to apply it in the morning, the tan can develop subtly over the course of the day as it doesn't need washing off.
The smell of the product is slightly biscuity and does have that slight fake tan aroma to it which you have to walk around with all day but I don't mind it so much but I know other people aren't too keen.
I really like this product as it gives a nice subtle "glowing" tan, it isn't too expensive (around £3-4 on offer) and doesn't smell too bad. For a darker tan, I'd still stick to my old faithful St Tropez.
I bought Avon Skin So Soft Sation Glow Moisturiser about a year ago to keep my tan alive from summertime to autumn, but it has gone mosdtly unused and let me tell you why...
Okay, this is nice enough, in a tube-like container for easy squeezing, it is a bronzed pink-peach colour with the bring logo and the title of the product proudly emblazoned at the front, plus which skin tone its made for (I went for fair skin tones so that it wouldn't be too dark), and the amount of moisturiser (250ml). On the back is the description/warnings in multiple languages, as well as the ingredients list.
Description/Direction for use/Warnings
For a gradual summer glow. Firms and tightens while giving skin a natural glow. To use: use daily as body lotion. Wash hands after use. Warning: Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
The scent is very light and quite nice, giving off powdery (like talc) tones while retaining a gentle sweetness. As it warms up though (either in your hands or on your skin) it can smell a bit...plastic-y. Its not very enjoyable when it gets to this phase, and is probably something to do with the tanning element of the cream.
The cream is a bit runny for my liking, and goes crusty and brown if left on the cap of the tube. The texture is good and smooth though, which is excellent for application, however...
Well, I've tried on several occasions to get this to work, but every time so far (maybe I'll try again in summer) it has left horrible streaks down my legs and, to make it worse, is not at all a tan colour. Its more of an off-brown orange colour. I have also had it stain my clothes despite the fact that I had waited for it to soak in and it had felt dry-ish and not tacky. Luckily it did wash out of my clothes but it was worrying when it happened. I have tried using it on dry unprepared skin, and on freshly bathed and scrubbed skin too, but has the same effect each time, which is really sad because I like the rest of the Skin So Soft range.
The tanning effect aside, the moisturiser in this product is as good as the rest of the Skin So Soft range, and will leave your skin feeling nice and soft and smooth afterwards particularly if you have stubbornly dry skin (as I have). I don't think it lives up to the hype of 'firming' your skin - I've found the oils from this range work a lot better for that - but it may be that it only takes effect with daily use, which I refuse to having had bad experiences of the tanning side. The cream soaks in well, and didn't leave any oiliness on my skin afterwards, but as I said, it can stain clothes so be careful!
Overall I am pretty much disappointed with this Avon product, mostly because the tanning aspect of the cream doesn't seem to work for me at all, leaving streaks, blotches and generally being orange coloured.
If I'm going out, on a special night out with the girls etc I like to have a tan as I am extremely pale, whether people like the look of it nor not it just makes me feel better about myself for that occasion. I don't stick to one tanning product instead I will just use whatevers at reach lol! One of the many products I've used to aid my tanning is Avon's Skin So Soft Satin Glow Daily Body Moisturiser.
The Satin Glow Daily Body moisturiser comes in a large 250ml bronze coloured tube with the flip up lid at the bottom for easy access to the product. The front of the tube clearly tells us it is Avon's Skin So Soft product as well as telling us it's Satin Glow Daily Body Moisturiser in other languages as well as English. The bottom of the tube informs me that this is for medium skin tones - only assuming you could get it for pale or darker skin tones, I don't know!.
This product is very much similar to the likes of Dove and Johnsons, it is designed as a moisturiser for skin which can gradually build a 'realistic' tan - or they are meant to.
The moisturiser itself is completely white in colour, you wouldn't even know it was meant to be a tanning product. It actually smells really good to, a clean smelling product. It certainly moisturised my skin, it felt soft and smooth and looked healthy to and the tan built up overnight. It actually left me a golden, healthy colour rather than a wotsit, orange, uumpa lumpa kind of shade like many other products do. I was very impressed with the colour it left me, and as I am so pale it didn't seem to be a drastic change either, it was a light, brown, healthy colouring to my skin that was very much appreciated for my night out. It didnt even have that tan tangy scent either that again, a lot of tanning products do provide, which I think smell a lot like burnt biscuits and it isn't always pleasant. Another thing I noticed is how natural and even it looked on my body, there were no streaky lines nor darker patches either which is impressive. If like me you are partial to a temporary tan now and then, I'd definitely reccomend trying this one, the results for me have been great!
After using the spray version of this and thinking it was quite nice, I decided to try out the lotion of it when I ran out.
This only cost me about £2, which isn't the normal price but I think it was on offer at the time which is one of the reasons I decided to buy it.
When this came with the rest of the order, there was no other packaging to the tube other than what you can see in the picture provided.
There was no unneccessary boxing or anything that I needed to throw away, and this can only be described as a good thing.
I quite like the simple design on the tube. You can see it in the picture.
There are two shades you can buy this in, a lighter one and a darker one, and as my skin is reasonably pale I decided to go for the lightest.
I like how this smells as unlike some fake tans it isn't very strong or too overpowering. I think it is quite a nice smell.
This is just like the spray version in the way that it is gradual and so you shouldn't expect to look very tanned the day after using this. It usually takes about three days of applying this before you start to see much difference. I use this on my arms and legs only, and don't think you should use this on your face although anywhere else should be OK.
I would recommend this as it definitely works, as long as you don't give up at the first use as some of my customers did. As soon as I explained to them that this is gradual they realised that this is a great tanning lotion and they have bought it again once they ran out. Recommended :)
I purchased Avon's Skin So Soft Ultimate Body Moisturiser SPF 15 when on offer in the brochure a few months ago. I got two tubes for £3.
I decided to have a go with this when my real tan started to fade and I was trying to resist the urge to visit my local sun bed shop. I had tried many of these daily tanners before and had never been that impressed so my expectations were not too high.
As I did still have some 'real tan' remaining I decided to go for the moisturiser made for medium-dark skin tones.
The moisturiser comes in a brown coloured 250 ml squeezy tube. It is covered in the usual Skin So Soft graphics and as per usual with Avon products, the instructions are short: "Use daily as body lotion. Massage evenly into skin. Wash hands after use". Very helpful, thanks Avon.
Because I have used similar products before, I was aware that it is important to exfoliate properly before applying the moisturiser to prevent streaks and get an even tan. The body lotion is pretty thin which meant a little went a long way. It was easy to apply and soaks into the skin within a couple of minutes meaning you do not have to wait forever to get dressed. The smell is a thousand times better than any daily tanner I have used previously, although it does still have that slight smell of biscuits that all fake tans seem to have but it is nowhere near as strong as I thought it would be. Remember to wash your hands after use, or you tend to end up with orange palms which are so not attractive!
There were no dramatic results with this product, but that is not what I was expecting. I used the product over 4 days, using it once a day, and each day I would get slightly darker. By the 4th day I had developed a nice brown colour. Any streaks which developed from missing bits or not rubbing the cream in properly seemed to correct themselves when I used the cream next. The colour of my skin was just right in my opinion, brown, not orange which is the result of using other fake tans.
Once I got the colour I desired I stopped using the cream. It faded pretty fast, but did seem to leave patches of colour over various areas of my body so my advice would be to carry on exfoliating and using a normal moisturiser on the body to try and prevent this from happen.
Overall, I am impressed. I was not expecting a lot from the product but was pleasantly surprised. I have tried tanners much more expensive than this one and the results have not been half as good. What makes the tanner even better is that it contains an SPF. Well done Avon!
I never got on very well with Johnsons Holiday Skin but I thought I'd give Avon's Skin So Soft gradual tanner a try anyway because I'd heard good things about it.
I brought the Fair To Medium because I'm quite pale and if it worked I didn't want the results to be too dark.
I had a shower and was careful to exfoliate well then rubbed the body lotion into my skin, ensuring I got an even coverage and that I hadn't missed any bits. The body lotion smells quite nice, it's got a nice creamy smell but you can still detect the slightly metallic smell of self tanning lotion.
It took about 4 applications of it before I noticed any difference in the appearance of the colour of my skin, but once it had started altering the colour it got a bit deeper each day and I was very impressed with the end result. Once I had the tanned look I was after I started using the lotion every 2 days to stop it getting too dark and that keeps it topped up and looking very fresh.
As an actual body lotion this is quite good too and left my skin feeling very soft, supple and moisturised. The lotion has an SPF of 15 and considering it's only £5.00 I think that's very good.
The lotions rubs in nicely and I didn't have any problems with streaking or patchiness once the colour started developing. I thought this gave a much more natural colour than the Holiday Skin I had tried earlier in the year and it actually made me look like I'd got a proper tan instead of something out of a bottle.
I've not got on very with Skin So Soft stuff in the past but was impressed by how well this absorbed and also by the fact that it's not greasy at all and soaks right into my skin instead of just sitting on top of it as the Holiday Skin does.
There is a bit of transfer to clothes but that can't be helped with a product like this and it washes out anyway so nothing to stress about. I noticed it stained my palms a little bit too so make sure you give your hands a soapy wash after you've used it to prevent this.
For most of my life I have had pale white skin, I have never had a tan, in the sun I burn and peel then back to my pale white skin, with a busy lifestyle with three kids etc, I dont have time to worry about my pale colored skin. However as the kids are a bit older now I have started to make more time for me, so I thought I would treat myself to a product in the Avon book called Skin so Soft, soft and glow moisturizer. According to the book this product will give you a gradual healthy looking tan. GREAT!!
What is the product?
This product is a moisturizer that can be used daily and through time it will build up a natural color on your skin, well it sounded perfect for me so I decided to buy it. I am not sure exactly how much it cost, but I do remember that it was on offer, I think it usually sells for around the £5.00 mark and it does seem to be on offer quite often, whether it be buy one get one free or just at a reduced price. So anyway I placed my order with my Avon rep and waited eagerly for my moisturizer to arrive.
Packaging and promises
Finally after what seemed like ages it arrived, the moisturizer comes in a 250ml tube, which is cream in color with a peach filp top lid, It stands upside down on the lid, which is quite handy as it sits comfortably on my cabinet, the Avon and Skin So Soft logos are both on the front of the tube, below this it says "Ultimate body moisturiser SPF15". The moisturiser I bought is for fair skin tones, as I am fair skinned, although there is moisturiser available for darker skin tones. At the back of the tube it gives information on how to use this product, it also promises to give your skin a natural glow after just three days of using the product, it also promises to moisturise, firm and protect skin from the sun. Other information on the back of the tube are the ingredients and Avons contact details.
Using the moisturiser
The instructions for using this products are very easy, basically the moisturiser should be used daily, it should be applied evenly to the skin and after use wash hands and the usual warning is avoid contact with eyes and keep out of the reach of children.
The cream is white in color and needless to say is quite thick, the smell is quite nice, but not to strong, once the cream is applied it doesn't take long for it to dry into the skin, which is great if you are in a rush. The smell after use only lasts for a short while and it wont over par any perfume you may be wearing which is also good.
My first use....
Well being far to eager to use the moisturiser I put a dolop of cream on to my hand and started to rub it into my arms to begin with, eventually I was finished and the cream dried in quite quickly, I couldn't wait until the third day to see if I had developed the "promised" natural glow..... The next morning......Oh dear, I had developed color alright but it was in blotches of an orange-y brown color. I realised I hadn't taken the time to make sure the cream was rubbed into my skin evenly, so the disaster was my own fault, I was just too eager!!!
My second use
Rght so I had a bath and the color washed off easy enough, so I attempted to use the cream again, only this time I made sure to take my time and make sure the cream was applied evenly, I squeezed the cream out onto my hand, then rubbed my hands together and then applied the cream, Yes this time it was applied evenly.... anyway after the second day of using the cream I had developed a color, which this time wasn't blotchy at all, great I thought, no more pale white skin. After a few more days of use I developed a better color, I started to use the moisturiser every other day as I didn't want to go to dark, as I have really pale skin, this seem ed to work, after a bath the color does fade but using the cream the colour is easy to build up again, although if you are in a rush always try to remember to wash your hands as if you dont in between your fingers tends to go an orange-y, brown colour, this happened to me once! I have noticed that my skin does feel soft and healthy since I have been using this cream.
I was quite skeptical with this product at first, I couldn't wait to try it but I wasn't expecting it to work! well I was plesantly surprised when it did, I have used this moisturiser for the past two and a half weeks and I still have about half a tube left or maybe more, so I am hoping the tube should last for about six weeks or more, before I will need to buy anymore.
I would highly recommend this product, it is great value for money and it really does work! providing you are not as eager as me and end up blotchy lol, apart from my mistake this cream is easy to use, lasts for quite a while and smells really nice. Another thing I should mention is that the colour doesn't stain sheets or clothes.
Thanks for reading
I purshased the skin so soft daily body moisturiser after I had recently used the spray version from avon which I was quite dissappointed with as it didnt leave much colour on you so I thought I would try this version to see if its any better. I order the medium to dark skin tones one, they also do a fair skin tones one. I use this product alot now and can ofton be on many offers of buy one get one free or half price etc. It is supposed to be priced at £5 but is always on offer.
This product comes in a bronze kind of bottle and there is 250ml. I think they have now improved the product and it has SPF 15 now and is also firming which I dont think it used to be.
Like all self tans you are suppose to exfoliate before which I also done. I then applied a small amount to my hand and rubbed it all over my skin. The product does come out white and isn't greasy it just feels like your applying moisturiser to your skin. It soaked up quickly and did leave my skin feeling softter.
I now use this product every two days and leaves me with a nice natural looking tan and not looking orange like most fake tan lotions. I use this all over my body and leaves me streak free too.
I would recommend this to any one who wants a natural looking tan.
I used this product regularly last summer and was moderately pleased with the results. The product is designed to build up a gradual tan, while moisturising the skin, over a period of time. Ideally you should aim to use this on a daily basis for a few weeks prior to wanting your tan to be on display. So if you are intending on going on holiday, it is best to start using this every before you leave. That way you have a light tan built up before you hit the beach.
The price of this product varies, though it is usually only a few pounds for a standard sized product. This is also available in little 30ml travel sizes which I think are a sweet idea. It is not available in this current brochure but it will be available again shortly.
Using this product is easy and I find that this sinks into my skin within a few minutes of application. I find that it works well as a moisturiser and leaves my skin feeling soft all day, especially my legs. I think it is important that it does take a minute or two to be absorbed, as this means that I have time to rinse my hands after application before they get too tanned!
I would not say that the tanning effects of this product are anything to write home about, but I certainly think they are noticeable with continued use. There are big advantages to this over using a solid fake tan product though. Firstly, you have pretty much no chance of winding up covered in streaks or patches. Secondly, you are unlikely to wind up looking as though you have been 'tangoed'.
I think is a great way to kick start the summer. I am wary of skin cancer and never sunbathe, so this is an ideal way for me to get a light tan to my pale skin. I especially like using this before I go on holiday to a hot country so I do not stand out like a snowman!
I got this product as the 30ml version as it was in a gift set for Christmas. This product is supposed to enhance tan, which is difficult for me as I dont have one. I have very pale skin and tend to burn rather than tan.
My first impression is that it is a Body Lotion and with a glow to it. The packaging has the Avon Skin So Soft Logo on it. I found when using this product it comes out rather fast and sometimes too much can come out of the tube.
The product has a lovely smell to it but it wasn't overpowering. The scent didn't last long either which was fine and worked for me. My skin was left feeling soft and it absorbed into my skin really well. The lotion wasn't too heavy as I can't stand really rich creams because they make me sweat.
During the day I noticed my skin has a slight shimmer to it. I don't think it was visible too much and tended to wear off during the day. My main concern was that it made me looked like I had sprayed glitter on it.
Overall I likesd this product it made me feel moisturised and I loved the scent of it. I might buy this again when I have finished my tube.
I'm not usually one for getting a great tan throughout the summer, but with the weather we've been having, there has been no chance of even attempting to put a bit of colour on my body. In an attempt to rid my legs of their pale washed out look before I had to have them on show on holiday I bought the Skin So Soft Satin glow Firming Body moisturiser from Avon.
It RRP's at £4.99 per 250ml bottle, however I managed to pick mine up when they had it on offer at half price.
The product claims to build a slow gradual tan, as well as firming and tightening the skin with frequent applications. I usually start well with these products and then forget one day, which leads to the whole results being out of the window.
There are two different shades to this product and I chose fair to medium skin as I think anything darker on my lily whites would look too garish.
Upon opening the bottle which is almost disguised as a conditioner bottle with the lid at the bottom, I was hit by a weird smell to say the least. It had a subtle aroma of creaminess you get with most body lotions, but there was a pungent flowery smell that hit my nostrils. It isn't a bad smell, but I found that after each application this smell lingered a bit too long for my liking, and would have been a lot nicer if it smelled of coconut or something fruity for example. It all goes down to personal preference on this, but this aspect put me off very slightly.
The actual lotion is white in colour and does dissolve into the skin fairly quickly. It's not as good as some I have used, but it also doesn't leave a greasy residue either.
I started off well, applying each morning after a shower all over my body. I soon reduced this to just the bots that would show and my thighs to give maximum effect to the firming it was going to be doing to my body. I reduced this because of the smell that stayed with me, and I just couldn't put up with it all the time, as it was still there a couple of hours after application.
As with all tinted moisturisers, I gave it a while to see any effects, and I give credit to this product I did start to see a slight difference after about seven days. My arms turned the best colour, with my legs being the worst. This could have been because my arms already had a slight base colour from being exposed to the air much more than my legs are, however I didn't notice much of an improvement in my legs, so after four weeks I stopped using the product.
I found the design of the bottle, being shaped like a conditioner bottle, with the lid at the bottom didn't work well for this product. I understand why companies do this so reduce wastage and make the product easier to get from the bottle etc, however I found that with greasy hand, needing more lotion, it seemed to come out a bit quick and more often than not I ended up with more to apply than I needed, and then the bottle was covered in a film of the lotion as well. When it was time to wash my hands at the end of each application (to stop orange hands), I was washing the bottle too.
I feel a pump action bottle would be more useful for these products, however that bumps the costs up so probably not very feasible for the companies to make their profits.
Overall the 250ml lasts well and if the smell was nicer I would continue using it as a moisturiser anyway, with a bonus of a slight colour attached to it. I didn't think the firming aspect did anything for me however.
My overall opinion is, try it when it's on offer, it's certainly worth paying £2.49 for but perhaps not at full price.
After writing about the skin so soft airbrush spray i decided to write about the moisturiser too as i had slightly better results than the airbrush.
Ihave very pale skin so i dont like using tans that are to dark but there again i need some colour so i purchased the moisturiser and tan from avon after it offered to provide a natrual radiance which builds into a healthy glow.
The tube arrived and i was impressed with the size it was (250ml) again though the packaging wasnt that impressive but the instructons on the back where english this time:)
The cream squeezes out easily and looks like any other white moisturiser except it has a stronger smell(exactly like the airbrush tan).It sinks into the skin nicely and leaves your skin feeling soft.
The best result i had was again usuing this products on my face and cheeks it gave me a subtle glow but nothing more,i found it usless usuing this elsewhere on my body as the colour didnt really show.I found again that i got best results applying the product one day and then waiting 2 days before reapplying it, the product does only clim to give you a glow which it did for me i think avon needs to be carful though not to sugggest this is a fake tan which it isnt unfortunatley,i guess people with differnt types of skin though will have different results
Whenever I see the little Avon book I turn into some kind of weird shopaholic which can't control herself! I saw this on offer at two bottles for £6 and having not had a chance to sun myself for a while and looking so pale and dare I say ill, I thought I would give it a try as it was going to look more natural than using a normal fake tan so I bought the two bottles and waited for it to arrive. (I hate the wait! That is the biggest draw back with Avon!)
When my seemingly long wait was over I decided I would put it on after a shower and giving my skin a good scrub before going to bed so I could see how it looked in the morning and not get it on my clothes. The sheets needed changing anyway so I wasn't too worried if it got on them.
After my shower I sat on the bed and smoothed this all over myself. IT STANK! It has a worse smell than any normal fake tan I have ever tried and we all know how foul they can smell! It was the same texture as any normal body lotion but didn't sink in all that well. Once I was finally dry after it had sunk in (about half an hour) I went to bed. Wearing this during the day wasn't really an option as the smell was so bad! It just smells of chemicals.
On waking I was all excited to see how it had turned out but nothing! I applied it every night over the following week but still nothing! No streaks, no lines, no change! The one good thing though was that my sheets didn't have a single mark on them!
Well my dreams of getting a hint of tan from this were shattered! So I was left pale and with two bottles of this to use up! I decided to buy some fake tan and mix a little blob into this just to get rid of it as I hate throwing anything away! I mixed it up in a plastic bowl every night and ended up getting the result I was after so it didn't end up wasted but I certainly wont be buying it again and definitely don't recommend it! So don't waste your money on this!
It doesn't sink into the skin all that well. You apply it in the same way as any body lotion. One good thing about it is that you don't get any marks on the sheets.
They do two versions one for fair skin tones and one for medium, I used the medium one so I would suggest even very fair skinned people could use it if I had no result.
This comes in a tube of 250ml for £5 and for the results is extremely over priced!
You can find Avon's website at www.avon.uk.com if you want to buy through a representative and not pay postage you can arrange that through the site.
