Advantages: Nice texture
Disadvantages: Old fashioned smell, sticky, doesn't last long
Recently I decided to look through my shelves on which I keep all my toiletries and pick out the ones for which I had not yet written a Dooyoo review! I came across a pot of Avon Body Soufflé which I had forgotten about, and decided it was time to finish it off and to tell you all about it.
The soufflé belongs to Avon's Skin So Soft range. This is a large range which has many sub categories within it, all of which contain products that are supposed to have different qualities or effects on your skin, such as firming or tanning. The soufflé is part of the Soft and Sensual sub category, which means it should have a luxurious effect on your skin.
The soufflé comes in a white plastic pot with a 200 ml capacity. It has a pink, slightly see through screw top. Inside is a pure white cream which looks like thick whipped cream. It has quite a strong smell which reminds me of baby lotion mixed with a slightly flowery scent. It seems to be a smell aimed more at older women rather than a young, fresh smell.
The cream is quite heavy but feels very smooth and luxurious. However it takes quite a bit of rubbing in and I found that it leaves my skin slightly sticky and tacky afterwards which I was not keen on at all. It also didn't do much to help really dry areas such as my elbows.
Also, a little does not go a long way. I would think this pot probably contains only enough all over body applications to last a week if you are showering and moisturising every day.
I cannot check how much this soufflé costs as it is not in the current brochure, however looking at other items in the Skin So Soft range I would guess at around £3.50. When it's available it can be bought from the Avon website or from your local representative.
