Advantages: A nice lingering smell, cleansing, more luxurious than many Avon products
Disadvantages: ----------
I ordered this Skin So Soft Creamy Body Wash by accident originally, getting the order numbers mixed up while trying to order a Dry Oil Spray. Luckily I found it to be an excellent body wash and ordered the Dry Oil Spray in the next campaign book so no harm was done in the end.
The Body Wash is very creamy which I was surprised about as Avon are more known for their fun shower gels than any serious attempt at a more luxurious body cleanser. It's a rich cream which lathers beautifully when used either on a sponge or body puff, it doesn't produce bubble as such but leaves a fine layer of foam across my body which feels soft and like a more luxurious wash than the price or name of this product would suggest.
It's got a creamy, silky scent which is very mildly perfumed and smells a little like Johnson's Baby Lotion to me. I found the body wash to be moisturising while I was using it, the creamy consistency makes it a dream to wash with and the thickness of it makes it a fairly nourishing wash too. I like the fact that the scent lingers on my skin and leaves a clean, fresh aroma for a good while after my shower or bath.
The Creamy Body Wash is better used in the shower I think because it's easier to cover your whole body and experience the moisturising effect all over. It's a very effective cleanser too and my skin always feel very clean after a shower or bath using this body wash and if any area of my body is visibly dirty if I've been busy in the garden or something the area scrubs up well after washing with this.
After my shower I find I only need to use a light body lotion afterwards, which considering my skin is extremely dry and always needs a thick oily body cream speaks volumes about the quality and reliability of the body wash. I don't itch or feel sore after using it either which is good as I tend to have to be a little careful with some Avon body products.
A 250ml bottle usually costs £3 but is currently on offer at £2, of which Avon will donate 50p to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. I think this is an excellent thing for Avon to do and for this reason I don't mind buying the Creamy Body Wash even at full price, and considering a bottle lasts for quite a while as you only need a small amount to wash with it's still a very good price for such a lovely body wash.
Summary: A wonderful body wash which is extremely cost effective.
