I like to change my products all the time so when I finish using something I usually get a different brand the next time round. When my body lotion was nearly finished I started looking for a new one. I was flicking through the Avon catalogue and a saw the skin so soft replenishing body lotion and though I would try it out. Most of the time in the Avon catalogue things are on offer so I managed to get the body lotion for £1.80 for a 250ml bottle, which was a real bargain. When I got the body lotion it was in a white plastic bottle with the lid on the top. It quite basic looking but that's fine it did the job. It came out of the bottle quite quickly so it is quite easy to squeeze out too much. The cream itself was white in colour and felt quite thin compared to other body lotions. I don't really get dry skin but after showering or bathing I think its nice to get out and moisturise my skin. This cream was great it left my skin feeling silky smooth and soft. Unlike the skin so soft replenishing hand cream I have used it did not leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. I didn't really find anything wrong with this body lotion and even though I like to change my products I would really be happy to use this again.
I have a lot of Body Lotions in my cupboards but the only problem is that I am a bit lazy when it comes to applying them. I open a bottle, use it and then go back to it eventually. On the back of a lot of beauty products it states that the product should be used within a certain amount of time after opening it, and it is usually 12 months. Perhaps it wouldn't be harmful if you used it after this time, but i've had a huge clearout over the last few days and decided that I will have a body Lotion in my cupboard but just the 1 so therefore it will only be the 1 that I use up and hopefully finish. I chose to buy this one as I like this range from Avon. This comes in a 250ml bottle and the right price for this is £3.40. I think I paid £1.80 for it as I like to try and wait to buy things on offer from Avon when I can. The bottle for this looks alright. It is a thick plastic bottle which has the Skin So Soft logo on the front which is the 3 S's and a little pink banner on here. It looks alright. This has a flip top lid which is easy enough to open from the first time. The Lotion for this is quite thick, but not overly thick. When it comes out it won't run off your hand or that. The claims for this Lotion is that this restores and maintains your skin's optimal moisture balance with 24 hour moisturisation. The scent of this is nice. It is a hard scent to try and describe but I think a lot of us will have tried at least 1 product from the Soft and Sensual range. It's quite a heavily scented product and a rich Floral scent. Once this is rubbed in my skin smells nice and once this is dried then I feel as if my skin is moisturised. I rub this into my elbow area as I get dry skin there and it seems to soften the area well enough. Seems as if this bottle will last a good enough lenght of time and I would buy this again.
I've been a fan of Avon for many years now, and find the majority of their products work very well with my skin type. I was an Avon Rep myself for a period of time though have since given up; luckily for me my best friend has taken on the role so I'm never far away from a brochure (or freebie lucky me!). One of my favourite lines from Avon has got to be the Skin So Soft range. It's undergone a recent transformation in the looks department, whereas before each fragrance was a particular colour, now the primary colour of all the packaging is white with a hint of colour (depending on the chosen fragrance). I am a fan of their body moisturisers and this review is based on my experience of using 'SSS Ultra Moisturising Body Lotion' in Signature Silk fragrance.. This is about my 3rd bottle so far this year, and as we are only half way through the year it's safe to say it's a hit with me and here's why: This particular moisturiser comes housed in a white plastic, upright standing bottle. To access the moisturiser there is a flip top lid which is placed directly on top. The first thing you may notice when opening the lid is the lack of scent. It's not until you squeeze some of the product onto your skin that you notice there is only a slight hint of what I would describe as a rose based scent. The lotion itself is a white opaque in colour, whilst the consistency is quite rich and creamy. On applying to my skin I found it to absorb fairly quickly, which always scores points in my eyes. Another plus point was the fact that a small 'blob' size seem to suffice for each leg so a little does go a long way, making it an economical buy. After applying all over my body my skin felt noticeably softer and I was pleased that it didn't leave a sticky or greasy residue like other brands can. As for the scent, I would say it may not seem very apparent at first, but once applied it did leave a faint aroma which was nice as it didn't compete with my choice of perfume. To recommend or not to recommend, that is the question.. After reading my review I think it's pretty safe to conclude that it's a body moisturiser I would recommend. I have dry skin and find this suits my skin type perfectly; it moisturises and soothes dry skin and rubs in effortlessly without leaving a greasy film what more could you want? Any negatives? At £4 for a 250ml bottle it's not the cheapest on the market because to be truthful I have used cheaper products in the past that have been more effective. That aside Avon regularly have savings in every brochure and this along with most of their other products is often on some kind of offer. Another slight niggle - for me anyway - is the fact it's a little hard to squeeze out of the bottle. It's not a major point but one worth mentioning, plus the fact it has a flat lidded area means it can be stored upside down making the liquid easier to flow. Apart from that it's ideal and can be bought from your local Rep or online at avonshop.co.uk Alternatively you can phone 0845 6014040
Avon skin so soft replenishing body lotion is gorgeous! Ive never really used body lotions and such but after becoming an Avon rep i thought i should try some products so i know a bit about them and can either recommend them or steer customers in another direction. I first smelt this in a sample sachet and wasn't too keen. It a bit floral-y which in my mind makes me think of my grandma. However i gave it a try and once its on it smells lovely. I now own the body wash, lotions and firming gels to go with it. This lotion is applied to dry skin (I use to when i get out of the bath) It is a white, creamy lotion which is absorbed quite quickly without too much rubbing in and it leaves your skin smooth and smelling lovely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to add a little life to dull skin or who just feels like giving their skin a little treat
This is a review of Avon's Skin So Soft repleneshing body lotion. My Mother in Law does Avon so I always get a bag full every Christmas. I drop big hints about it as I really like the skin so soft range but am not so keen on some of their other bath and shower products! I think she normally gets them and stocks up throughout the year when they are on offer. Last year you got 4 products for £5 (which included a pink shower puff) so I got lots from this range in the present! The body lotion is in pink packaging and has a flip cap that seals pretty well in between uses. I prefer a pump dispenser as you tend to get the right amount so dispensed this bottle into an old one of them. (Only I know what's in it!). The consistency of this lotion is just right, and it sinks in really well upon application as long as you don't try to use too much. There is not a lot of fragrance to it and that's fine by me. I can't get excited about this product but at the same time, it doesn't disappoint. I think I've been spoilt with all the Soap and Glory collection I've been using recently! I'm sure I will be receiving more of this at Christmas but I really don't mind. It keeps your skin nice and soft and is a decent enough product. Update: This range has been repackaged in white now (rather than pink) with the products still as good as ever!
I am a real Avon addict, I think that theyre products have came a long way from the past and you can get some really great bargains, one of my favourite skin and body care ranges is the Skin so Soft range because they are affordable, smell lovely and get the job done really and also they arent too harsh on the skin as I have very sensitive skin. Skin So Soft Soft & Sensual Replenishing Body Lotion is on offer at the moment for 1.95 for a 250ml bottle giving you savings of 1.30, this is quite good as a bottle of this lasts me around 2-3 months. You simply apply the lotion sparingly to your skin and get on with your day, theres no tricks just like any other lotion on the market. Skin So Soft Soft & Sensual Replenishing Body Lotion smells really fresh and clean, there isnt much perfume in it and even sensitive skin can use it. Also it leaves your skin lovely and soft and decreases the amount of dry skin on applied areas. I think that this is a really good product and you can buy this and all other Avon products either online or from your Avon Represntative. This is my favourite body lotion to use and I highly recommend it.
