Advantages: large pot, smells nice & lasts for ages. Works!
Disadvantages: none really though I would have liked to have seen ingredients listed
I don't usually buy Avon products now as our Avon Lady gave up her round & rather than look online I usually like to physically see & read the labels of items such as cosmetics & creams etc. So I was really pleased to see an Avon sale on at our local college in February.
I bought this tub of Skin So Soft (Wintersoft) for just £1 because it looked such a bargain & if I see it again I'll buy more as it's good stuff!
I don't have what you'd call a dry skin but my feet, especially my heels, get dry & rather than pay a fortune for special foot creams I thought I'd try this. I've also used it on my elbows & it's worked a treat plus, when you apply it, there's always some left on your hands so it acts as a good hand cream to boot!
It's a generous pot as shown in the photo - 200ml - which lasts for ages.
It has a screw top which is easy to undo & put back even with creamy hands.
The cream contains a ' super hydrating formula with shea butter to help protect skin against winter's elements' - this is also printed in French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Arabic etc!
I can't find any other ingredients listed apart from the shea butter but they probably wouldn't make any sense to me anyway?
The cream is a lovely white thick consistency & the smell is very subtle & fresh. I can't quite put my finger on the smell but it's not floral nor chemical - it's not a particularly feminine fragrance so it would be suitable for both men & women.
It rubs in easily & isn't greasy & there's no residue.
The pot looks as if it's going to last for ages because I've been using it every evening for the past few weeks & it looks as if I've hardly used any of it.
I noticed a difference in my skin after 3 applications even though my feet & heels were VERY dry though obviously the effectiveness may vary according to skin type.
The only thing I'm questioning is - why is it called 'Winter soft'? I'll definitely be using it all year round.
summary
~
- I got a great bargain but even at full price it's only £4 for a large pot.
- worked for me after only 3 applications.
- easy to use, non-greasy & smells nice & fresh.
- well worth a try if you have dry skin.
Summary: well worth a try if you have dry skin
