In my last B order I did get a bit carried away and as I said in my Cocktail Bath Powder I tend to buy the whole range of something! Which gets quite expensive!! One of the Cocktail range I bought as the body lustre, just because it looks absolutely lovely! Apparently it only came out as a limited edition for Christmas 2006 and due to it being so popular B decided to keep it! And I can see why!

Cocktail Body Lustre suprisingly comes in quite a boring clear round pot with a screw black top, even it's dull purple label is not that exciting, now when you compare this to the other B products which are extensively decorated this appears quite dull but do not be deceived!! Both in the pot and as you spread it over your skin en masse, Cocktail Body Lustre almost appears to be a body tint, a cream foundation for the whole body if you will. Yet once vigourously blended in, you discover its true colour; a transparent base packed with the tiniest flecks of golden fairy dust, their quantity no doubt being numbered in the trillions. When you open the pot the colour is that of quite a dark foundation but the consistency is alot thicker than what you would expect.

This Body Lustre doesn't necessarily pack a powerfully perfumed punch, with B admittedly aiming for an understated air so as not to allow the layering of products from their Cocktail fragrance line to become overbearing. (Yet what of those who don't wish to purchase and combine multiple products?). I was quite suprised that the scent wasn't as strong as I thought, all the other Cocktail items have quite a strong (but not overpowering) scent which lingers everywhere, slightly dissapointed with this.

But mild fragrance aside, the result is a gently moisturised body that is softly coated in a most subtly sophisticated 24 carat all-over shimmer, the perfect touch of bejeweled elegance to any décolleté that happens to be donning a low- cut little black dress for a special night out. And the best news of all is that this shimmer only lasts as long as you want it to, rinsing away with ease in the shower. You can obviously take it with you on a night out and re-apply should you need to. Due to having a screw top it won't leak out into your bag which is pretty great considering B are not that great with packaging as a whole.

Cocktail Body Lustre is a great all round product, aswell as being full of fairy dust and leave a lovely shimmer against your skin it is also packed with nourishing almond oil and cocoa butter which keeps your skin moisturised all day/ night long, so there is no need to use a moisturiser before hand as this really does a great job. However something like this may be better kept for those evenings out and not for everyday use. I'm still on my first pot as a little goes a long way, it's easy to apply and sinks into the skin immediately leaving no sticky finish at all!

Cocktail Body Lustre costs a bank breaking £15.65!! And no that is not a typo! Fortunately it lasts a long time so it makes your money go further. Sometimes its hard to tell whether an item is worth the money but I think this is worth every penny to be honest and I certainly will be buying another pot when mine runs out!!
