Advantages: Leaves you with silky soft skin

Disadvantages: The price!

There is nothing more comforting than coming home from a long day at work and running a nice warm bath to unwind. Using your very best bath products (in my case that's Lush!) and sinking into infused water and letting all your stresses wash away! Literally!! I love a good bath (especially with a glass of wine!) and love to relax. The only part that really gets to me is having to put body lotion on! I know it seems quite lazy but after I've got out the bath I just want to get into bed, wrap my duvet around me and fall softly to sleep! I've long been disappointed with body lotions, I have now (after a few years) found a few Lush one's that I really like and about a year ago I thought I'd have a look at B's range.

I ordered online as it's far easier just to have it delivered to your house! That is only good however if you know you already like the fragrance as some of B's products can be slightly overpowering in the nose department! I have the whole of Keep it Fluffy range so I thought I'd go straight here first to look. I happened to pick one of the most expensive items they have purely down to it's appearance!! I opted for Turkish Bath which comes in it's own little jar with screw lid top. It even has it's own little tag and ribbon tied in a bow!

A Turkish Bath is a steam bath that induces heavy perspiration and is followed by a shower and massage. Closely related to the bathing practices of the Ancient Romans, it firstly involves relaxing in "the warm room" which is heated by a continuous flow of hot dry air. Once warmed up (sweating or glowing!) bathers then move to the more extreme "hot room", after which they immediately plunge themselves into the opposite extreme of a cold pool before enjoying a full body wash and massage, finally retiring to "the cooling room" for a period of relaxation.

So that's the art of a Turkish Bath in a nutshell, pretty simple don't you reckon?!! Keep It Fluffy Turkish Bath, on the other hand, is, at the very most, but the tail end of a Turkish Bath -- a shower soap with a fancy name and an equally fancy price tag (I do reguarly ask myself why I bought such an expensive product!!). An exquisite body polish in the form of a rich mousse and packaged in an elegant glass jar that vaguely recalls the Victorian era during which Turkish Baths were most popular, it bears the colour of strawberry Angel's Delight dessert (and trust me it certainly doesn't taste like it!!) whilst looking, smelling, and feeling like the poshest, silkiest, fluffiest (no pun intended) buttercream frosting on earth. This pure indulgence at it's best!

To take a Keep It Fluffy Turkish Bath, first slather this creamy goodness all over your dry (or mildly damp) body. Then step into the shower or bath where you can massage it into the skin, enjoying the additional benefit of soaking in the relaxing fragrance of calming rose, jasmine and vanilla while this body polish's cocoa butter and almond oil base melts from your body to add a softening Cleopatra worthy milk bath hue to the water. My personal recommendation is using it in the bath, as you can really sit back and massage it into your skin.

Of course, if you want to further capitalise on the Turkish Bath theme, you can always take your jar of Keep It Fluffy Turkish Bath to a gym or spa, first spending time in a hot sauna, moving on to the pool, and then washing with Keep It Fluffy, while giving yourself a massage in a mild shower. (I've tried this, and it's positively lovely).

But whether you're aiming for something as exotic as a Turkish Bath experience or just a simple soak in creamy waters, Keep It Fluffy acts as a gentle softening treatment for the whole body (and even your hair if you dare). But though B claims this product to be a "two in one soap and moisturiser", unless using this product in a sauna to allow for the deepest penetration of its conditioning attributes, those with dry skin may still wish to follow up with lotion. B listened to all of the devotees to this product and actually brought out a body lotion in December 2006 to compliment this range!

In fact, if, like many, you find Keep It Fluffy Turkish Bath's price tag to be a little steep for your pocketbook, you can always enjoy a similar bath experience by applying Lush's Smoothies in much the same way. Of course, they won't quite give you that wrapped in whipped cake frosting feeling during application (nor will their packaging be as pleasing to the eye), but where caring for the skin is concerned, they'll still get the primary job done with a similar degree of success.

The results without a moisturiser is still pretty impressive for something that looks like a desert! After getting out the bath/ shower your skin feels soft to the touch and lightly moisturised. The beautiful scent of this buttercream lingers on the skin for hours which is quite unusual for a product of this kind! The only thing about the jar it comes in is that it isn't hand friendly so when you get to the bottom it can be a bit tricky to get the last bit out!! But remember a little goes along way so even with the hefty price tag it lasts!!

What B say: -

Transform flaky post-winter skin to baby bunny soft. Cocoa butter melts into skin and moisturises deep down, heavenly scented rosewater adds an extra dash of nourishment and sea salt helps whisk away dead skin cells. Ylang ylang, jasmine and vanilla mean your skin is femininely fragranced too. Just smooth this whipped treat all over, massage in and then rinse off... it's that simple.

A jar of Turkish Bath will cost you a whopping £10.75. Which yes is very expensive for something so small but it really is worth it! So if you feel like indulging then this maybe the product for you!!

Summary: Expensive but worth it!
