Advantages: It looks pretty all wrapped up
Disadvantages: Far to expensive!
I must admit that I have quite a large obsession with collecting bath products! It ranges from little things to large bottles of bath cream. It's not just Lush I collect, if I see something from another cosmetics brand in my basket it goes!! For the past year I have been somewhat of a keen follower of B products - but I certainly have not given up my obsession for Lush as I still buy things on a monthly basis!!
I've done quite a few reviews on bath powder and I'm quite a big fan of these wonderful little creations! The newest bath powder to be added to my collection is Two Hearts Beating As One (what a long title!). I somehow wanted to really like this product but considering I didn't particuarly like the hand and body cream I sometimes wonder why I did buy this! I love the fragrance to Two Hearts, it's sexy and sensual and I hoped this scent would linger around longer than the cream! Two Hearts is in the usual cone shape of the body powders and the gift wrapping is a deep gold colour with a deep red label, which seems more grown up compared to the other bath powders.
Two Hearts Beating As One Bath Powder offers you the sensual scent of jasmine and rose, with less of the rather masculine muskiness that the more concentrated Two Hearts Perfume tends to emit. It has more of a feminine scent which the perfume can only dream of. It's just more of a subtle fragrance which is more suited to everyday use.
Aside from caressing you with a most exquisite fragrance, this bath also thoroughly moisturises your entire body, almost rendering as overkill a follow-up of body lotion (however if you suffer with quite dry skin you probably will need a body lotion but opt for a light version as you may end up with greasy skin). But unfortunately, though luxurious to the touch, it turns the water a putrid beige-yellow while a few large rose petals have already turned slightly brown from decay. Now unfortunately I didn't read the whole description on line and if I had of done I probably would not of bought this, as I cannot stand foliage floating around my bath and whats worse is that you have to pick up these sludgey petals from your plug! Not pleasant at all, I don't honestly see why they need to be added!!
However, unlike Lush's Softy Bath Ballistic, being that these petals are bigger and fewer, the good news is that they don't make an unbearable mess of themselves. Most unfortunate, however, is that this 200g gift-wrapped cone filled with fine-grained bath salts the same total weight as the majority of Lush's Bath Ballistics, essentially amounts to a ridiculously pricey £10.75 bath that, all
things considered, ultimately manages to strike even this price-unconscious shopaholic as not being worth the expense, especially when B offers the less expensive but ultimately far better Bubble Bar with Rose within this same fragrance line.
Now don't get me wrong I cannot write off Two Hearts Bath Powder just because of the petals, I have to overlook this issue! The beautiful scent stays on your skin for hours once your out of the bath and your skin feels incredibly soft to the touch which is a great bonus as your never sure whether they will or not. You only really need to sprinkle a tiny bit into the bath under running water to get a silky feeling to the water, just don't over do it as it could become quite an expensive bath as I said before!!
What B say:-
Jasmine and rose absolute plus neroli and bergamot oils spell seduction with a capital 'S'. Sprinkled into a full bath tub this intensely scented bath powder will fragrance you with passionate Two Hearts and also soften skin so you'll feel oh so sensual. Real dried rose petals add to the bath time pleasure.
Two Hearts Bath Powder can be bought online or in store for £10.75 which is ever so slightly expensive but quite indulging at the same time!! As much as I enjoyed the product and I was pleased that it made my skin soft and irritable free, I find the price far too expensive for continual use, especially when there are so many other products which do the same thing and are cheaper!!
Summary: You won't have missed anything if you don't try it!
