... greasy hair leaving it soft and bouncy. The conditioner is hardly noticeable to me certainly not leaving any sticky residue or frizzy bits. Although the package trumpets that it contains an extract of horse chestnut its not altogether clear what function this performs, since the main component is sodium laureth sulphate which is no more than a simple detergent. Manufactured under the Sarah Lee Brand, you will probably be much more familiar with the ghastly chocolatey foamy frozen gateau range found in the freezer section...more

Crowned Review Badedas Shower Gel: Horse-chestnut Heaven (877 words)

What do Bimbo bread (if you’ve been on holiday to Spain, you’ll no doubt have seen it), Berlei bras and Badedas all have in common? Sara Lee. The gateaux woman. Or rather, the parent company of these brands, and many others. Wonderbra, Sanex, Matey, plus more than 300 others brands. They can all shelter under the rather large Sara Lee umbrella. I didn’t know this until a few minutes ago. I don’t generally care enough to read labels that closely. But, I wanted so background for my op on Badedas, so I chortled along to their website, www.badedas.com Only one problem – it’s all in Italian. A little skim through and I ...  Read the complete review

This is his shower gel of choice, although I must confess to sometimes using it too, it has such a lovely smell and leaves your skin feeling balmy and smooth. Unfortunately it is not so easy to find nowadays; the trademark green package has all but disappeared from the supermarket and Supadrug's of this world. You can still obtain it via the internet or by direct order from a pharmacy, but it will now cost you some £2.36 per 200ml container. I really hope it makes a return to the mainstream soon. A lightly scented and refreshing shower gel, this product also works well for frequent hair washing for normal to greasy hair leaving it soft and bouncy. The ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Badedas Shower Gel: Badedas - worth paying out for? (246 words)

The first time I came across badedas was when a friend of mine bought it for me as a treat after I had had my first baby. At the time she gave it to me I secretly thought it was a slightly odd present - I mean bubble bath is so not cool....but as soon as I used it I understood why she'd given me it. It's based around horse chestnut extract, and is *very* green - so green it changes the colour of the water! Not very promising sounding so far, but it really is nice stuff! As bubble baths go, this is one of the best, if not possibly *the* best I've used.......the smell is great - unlike any other and it's actually quite a pleasant experience ...  Read the complete review

Badedas: A luxurious bath gel made by an international company. Sara Lee is probably best known for their wonderful desserts like: gateau’s and their delicious Danish pastry bars! But you may be surprised to learn they are a worldwide company who originated in Canada in 1939, when a man called Nathan Cummings founded the company. It grew from strength to strength and today it employs some 141,500 people with an annual turn over in excess of twenty BILLION dollars in over 50 countries. These days Sara Lee is famous for more than just cakes and desserts, indeed they now own such companies as: Ambi-pur (Air fresheners); Sanex (Body care range); ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Badedas Shower Gel: Badedas shower/bath gel (129 words)

Having tried most shower and bath gels, creams etc. some good, some not so. I always go back to my old favourite Badedas. OK it's not cheap, not in fashion at the moment and the packaging is not very inspiring. The smell is of Horse Chestnut extract (not that I have noticed that conkers have a smell) and is very refreshing. Although quite expensive, it is so economical it lasts for ages, masses of foam from a little blob, so in the end you are getting a luxury product relatively cheap. The shower/ bath gel is my favourite, they also do a creme bath for those who need a bit extra moisturising. Even hubby uses it, and he's a carbolic soap and water man. ...  Read the complete review
