      great bath and body yuminess!!!

A recently went on a hen wekend and the hotel we stayed at had bath and Body works collection. in previous hotels ive been offered complimentary shampoo, conditioner, bath lotion etc instead some budget line cosmetics they had bath and body - it was amazing!

The product I have become quite attached too was in my room in a white plastic 60ml bottle with an even whiter screw on and off lid, on the front of the bottle is a picture of both a coconut and a lime. Aptly titled Coconut Lime Verbena Body Lotion it comes with the following description "A tropical scent, inspired by an island breeze of luscious fruits and crisp citrus" and if I am truly honest, it is just that. The second you remove the lid the smell if absolutely amazing, definitely zesty and definitely fruity with both the Lime and Coconut fragrances instantly recognizable.

soooooo.... not only are bath and body works, great products they are also really good for my skin (Vitamins C and E help to nourish the skin and help with rehydrating itself. Both vitamins help with mositurisation, softening and cleansing with vitamin E being known more for its anti-aging benefits by helping the skin to look younger by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Then we move on to the other main ingredients which start with Aloe Vera which helps soften and moisturise the skin as well as killing off any harmful bacteria which can be found lurking. Macadamia seed oil is used for the Palmitoleic acid which helps to keep the skin moisturised and hydrated whilst softening the skin. Coconut Oil is great for moisturising and helps serve as a protective layer on the skin to help retain the moisture and prevent water loss in your skin which can lead to dry skin conditions. Coconut oil is also very mild and great for people with sensitive skin and it also good for the prevention of stretch marks. Mandarin Oil like Coconut oil helps prevent the loss of water from the skin whilst at the same time helping to prevent stretch marks. Lemon Verbena like the other ingredients is a skin softening oil but it is also good for reducing the puffiness of the skin. Fragrance wise Lemon Verbena is said to help banish the blues and help combat depression and combating stress. Finally and probably most importantly is the zesty lime smell which is used in many products because it helps to refresh a tired mind and lift the spirits whereas on the skin it is especially good at clearing congested skin and is particularly a good ingredient for those people who suffer from oily skin).

When it comes to applying the lotion to your skin, the first thing to note is that the lotion itself is an off white colour and not to thick in texture, I have to be honest and say it was a little runnier than I had hoped for, but you just have to pay extra attention when squeezing the bottle. Once this lotion is on the palms of your hands again the fruity fragrance comes to life and it glides onto the skin with little and no effort absorbing itself instantly leaving behind no greasy hint of a lotion, instead there is just a fruity lime and coconut smell which lasts for the whole day. I could still smell the lotion on my skin after spending a day touring the city we had gone to visit, which was lovely.

As I have mentioned, it is quite difficult to find these products in the UK without having to look online first. However, there is an online store which sells these products and I have since purchased a 236ml bottle for £8.49 which is expensive compared other body lotions, but I purchased this one purely because I adore the fragrance more than anything but in comparison to my last Lush purchase of Coco Lotion it is very similar in price.

So does it work? Well I have to say that my skin is certainly very soft and it smells absolutely delightful of lime and coconut. As it is a body lotion, it can be used on all parts of the body and on these cold, dark depressing winter mornings when I am waking up to find it is still dark outside, it nice to feel uplifted by the time I have finished applying this body lotion.

Would I recommend this product? I absolutely would without a shadow of a doubt, if you haven't guessed already I completely love this product for its fragrance and the aroma it leaves on my skin. It also lasts a really long time, I bought a newer bottle just a few weeks ago no, having used up my free sample from the hotel and although I use it every other day after showering in a morning, I am probably less than a third of the way through the bottle and I apply it to my arms, legs, torso and neck. Also as someone with super sensitive skin I am often wary of trying new products because I break out into rashes quite quickly, but so far, thankfully, I have had no trouble at all with this product and I intend to try out some of the other tempting products that I have got my eye on such as the Butterfly flower Body Lotion or the Island Cotton Bubble Bath.

      A fruity smelling body lotion

A recent visit to a hotel for a weekend away from London introduced me to the Bath and Body works collection, not one I am familiar with nor have come across until this moment in time. Most hotels offer complimentary shampoo, conditioner, bath lotion and shower cap and the hotel we stayed in was no different, except instead of the cheap and nasty looking sample you usually have stored in the bathroom, I was treated to a wooden display cabinet of miniature products from this range.

As I said, I knew absolutely nothing about this range and had never come across it until this particular visit to a hotel. Alongside the wooden display cabinet was a guest card and on it was a slight insight in the Bath and Body Works range which read "Bath and Body Works has become a name synonymous with an holistic approach to health and beauty. With a strong focus on innovation from nature, the fragrant, flavourful shower gels, lotions and accessories have changed the face of personal care" and on it you were asked to leave your comments which I was more than happy to do. However as a brand Bath & Body Works was founded in Ohio in the USA in the Autumn of 1990 and have spent much of the last decade reinventing themselves over and over along with their products and they pride themselves with being renown for the fragrant flavourful indulgences which includes shower gels, lotions, candles and other accessories leaving them with a product range spanning face, body, hair, bath and the Spa. Bath & Body Works now have over 1600 stores across Canada and the United States. Sadly at this moment in time they do not ship their products internationally but you can as ever find them all online through one outlet or another to purchase them.
