When it comes to celebrity endorsed perfumes and products I never go out of my way to purchase them to be honest, that's not saying I don't own any cos although I love Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel as brands and own a lot of them I still sometimes find myself smelling celeb stuff and thinking its nice enough, particularly for daytimes.
As a range of products go both me and my boyfriend Neil love the Beckhams fragrances. My better half owns all of David Beckhams scents and I also purchase them for him regularly and he wears them daily. I own a couple of Victoria Beckham scents, one being 'Signature' so when I spotted this at Boots costing £8.00 a bottle I decided to treat myself to a bit of body moisturiser in the fragrance I love as a little treat!
The packaging of this is simple enough. The plastic bottle is lilac and made from plastic with a darker lilac coloured flip-top lid to the base of it concealing a small hole and then on the front we are told in silver metallic writing that it is 'DVB' Beckham Signature, Women Body Lotion 'Lait pour corps' and that it is 150ml in size. On the back of the tube we are simply told that once opened the product needs to be used up within 24 months and contact details for Coty (the manufacturer of the product) are given. Nice, simple and elegant packaging this is and I do like being able to see partially through it so I can see how much of the lotion I have left etc.
The Lotion Itself:
The lotion is white and reasonably runny though with a decent consistency to it. It blends into the skin with a quick waft with a hand and leaves a nice but subtle, healthy shimmer to the skin and in a nice natural way. It is a light lotion, so easy to apply and get dressed it is after using it and its very gently moisturising and helps the skin to feel soft all day long though this isn't a heavy duty moisturiser and I guess this is used more for the scent than anything else.
The scent is a lovely, warm, feminine blend of candy apple, anise flower, vanilla, orchid flower, heliotrope, patchouli, amber and musk so it has a really floral tone to it and mostly I get a smell of the orchids blended with soft musk and a sweetness wafts over that blend in a really natural and subtle way and once applied to the skin the scent stays lingering seductively on the skin for a good few hours.
This is one to really use along with the scent of its same name or on its own on warm/hot days/night.s I really do love this scent, am pleased with how long it lingers on the skin and an added bonus is that it really does make skin feel soft to the touch though this isn't a heavy duty moisturiser or too greasy or anything like that!
Look in Boots if interested in this or google online but this gets a massive thumbs up from me!
