Advantages: prettyt feet

Disadvantages: empty wallet

This is the root of all my BeneFit splurges. The product that lured me over to the fateful counter, whispering softly to me 'rhino feet, rhino feet'

Some time last summer a small parcel arrived, and sheepishly over breakfast housematey unwrapped a box of 'Sandal Scandal'. I choked on my weetabix when she admitted it had cost her £27.50. 'But it's so little!' I exclaimed, 'you're clearly mad'. I wiped the milky ceral goo off my chin and flounced off to demonstrate how sensible I am and how flighty and silly she and her credit card are.

And here I am now, telling you to go out and buy the stuff.

I have nasty feet. Apart from the fact that my toes come out of the wrong place (and no cream is ever going to fix that), my tendency to wander around barefoot - I have been known to stroll to the end of the road for fags minus shoes - means they are hard, not always the perfect contenders for strappy silly little shoes. The scholl scrub had done it's job, but they looked thirsty. So one night while housematey was out I snuck into her room and applied a scoop of Sandal Scandal to my poor neglected feeties.

The cream itself feels thick and silky, and you only need a very little bit to cover your feet.

For your £27.50 you get a little 130ml powder blue tub, typically BeneFit kitsch in style, and inside lurks a slab of very very thick blue cream. Cream isn't really the right work, because it feels quite solid when you scoop it up, nothing even remotely runny, which is good because at that price you don't want any wastage. It smells akin to other Benefit treats, slightly floral with a warm spice lurking in the background.

Ok you can all stop sucking your breath in, you're still wondering about the price aren't you. I know, it's not much foot cream for your money, but wait...

...It's nice! It's good! It works!

The cream comes wi
th a diddy pair of 'bootees' and after rubbing it over your feet you are supposed to slip the socks on and climb into bed*. The magic ingredient appears to be 10% AHA (some fruit acid or other, they are typically vague on the ingredients list) and BeneFit promise that by morning your feet will be smooth, polished and ready to be bared.

Not too far from the truth. So much so that I had to eat my words and go and buy some of my own. And infact I demand that you all do the same. It'll make me feel better about my own frivolity. Get yourself down to House of Frasier, a big Boots store, or get it off the website. Just get some. Summer is nearly here again and now my feet are presentable I don't want to have to look at your minging ones.

* NB 'Bathina's Bootees' are not sexy. Do not attempt to wear these in mixed company or you risk abuse about the pink and white striped and pom pom adorned things on your feet.

I wouldn't pay that much out for my feet. I am one of these people who hates feet. Great review though....Mandxx
