*Introduction*

Lately I have had a few shaving accidents where I have cut my legs to bits. Oops and ouch! So I decided that enough was enough and it was time to buy a shaving gel to prevent this from happening again. Whilst in Wilkinsons I saw Bic Soleil Lady Gel. This looked exactly like the product that I was often so I picked up a can and scurried along to the checkout to pay for it.

*The Claim*

Soleil shaving gels are specially formulated for women. Their lather softens the skin allowing your shaver to glide smoothly with less irritation.

*About the Product*

The ingredients in this luscious gel that gently pampers your skin are aloe vera and vitamin E, both known for their soothing and smoothing properties.

*Application*

For the best possible results, you should always shave during or immediately after a warm bath or shower. Remove the lid of the can and squirt a very small amount of the gel into the palm of your hand. Make sure that you wet your skin before applying the gel. As you softly apply this to your skin, you will find that by massaging it works up a creamy lather. Then, using a razor, carefully shave in the direction of the hair growth. When you have done this, rinse the gels thoroughly in order to show silky smooth and radiant skin. Easy peasy.

*Price and Availability*

Bic Soleil Lady Shave Gel is available to buy for the reasonable price of £3.25. I am happy to pay this amount for this shave gel as it lasts a very long time and it makes the task of shaving your legs easier and painless. No more cuts for me when I use this product whilst shaving. Happy days!

This product is available to buy from Wilkinsons, Boots and Superdrug. Unfortunately, if you prefer to buy via the internet, I haven't found a website that stocks this product. Boots website let me down big time on this one!

*My Opinion*

The packaging: Bic Soleil Lady Shave Gel comes in a pink and orange 150ml can. It is very girly yet distinctly representative of the Bic brand. The lid of the can is rather large and hard plastic. Underneath this is the pump, a bright pink colour, fairly large and slanted. This means that is relatively easy to use although it is very easy to dispense too much of the product.

The design of the can is as cool as a product like this can be so although I couldn't jump up and down over it, it is effective and takes up little room.

Texture, colour and smell: The texture of this product is relatively firm and gel like when it leaves the can and as it is quite dense, very little of the product is required. As soon as you start to rub it onto your skin it turns into a thick foam which makes the job of shaving (especially your legs) so much easier as it covers your skin well when rubbed on unlike some products that disintegrate and disappear before you even get the opportunity to pick up a razor.

The colour of this shave gel is clear with a slightly pink tinge when it is sprayed from the can. When you rub it in and the texture turns into more of a foam, the colour is completely white. As for the smell of this shave foam is divine. It has a fruity smell (quite like a tropical fruit juice) and it's a smell that reminds me of summer. It says that it contains aloe vera but you certainly don't smell this. The smell lingers on your skin for a short amount of time but not long enough for it to replace using a scented body lotion afterwards.

Does the lather soften the skin allowing your shaver to glide smoothly with less irritation? Yes and it fulfils this claim very well. The foam lathers amazingly from the size of a pea to covering the whole of your leg. This foam allows you to glide the razor that you are using, whether it is a basic, cheap razor or a more expensive Venus version. When using this foam gel, you will find that there is less to no irritation on your skin which is brilliant and exactly what you want from this product.

Does this luscious gel gently pamper your skin to smooth and soothe? I believe so, yes. After using this shave gel and shaving my legs, they feel so soft! And I believe this is down to the aloe vera that is an ingredient in the gel. My skin feels very well moisturised and silky soft. I love running my hand up and down it... sad I know.

Longevity of the product: Bic Soleil Lady Shave Gel lasts an eternity! I have hair on my legs that grows at a ridiculous rate therefore I find myself using this product at least twice a week. The worst thing about this product is that it is difficult to estimate how much of it your have left. I have been using this can for well over 6 months and I would say that I have used just over half of the can.

*Would I Recommend This Product?*

I would definitely recommend Bic Soleil Lady Shave Gel. Anyone that is looking for a shave gel that will allow you to shave your legs easily you have found a superb product in this. It leaves your legs feelings smooth and soothed. I highly recommend it as it is so much better than just using soap alone and it very long lasting. It is for you to decide whether this is something that you want to spend money on.

*Overall*

Bic Soleil Lady Shave Gel is a fantastic product that makes the task of shaving your legs significantly easier and helps you to avoid cutting your legs to pieces. I found it a complete joy to use and the smell only made me like the product more as it is fruity and delicious.

Summary: Great product to shave away with ease

Not something I would use for me, obviously but a good review as per usual!
