Chocomania Body Butter
The latest Body Shop Body Butter that I have is the AMAZING Chocomania variety. I got a Body Shop gift card in a magazine a few months ago which basically gave you either £3 towards any Body Shop item or if yours way the lucky card it could hold a bigger amount, up to quite a few hundred pounds I think. Unluckily for me mine only had £3 on it but that was nice enough anyway so off I went to The Body Shop to choose what I wanted. I didn't really want to spend very much more money so I decided upon a tub of body butter. In the end a 50ml little tub was only £5 so it only cost me £2 which in my opinion was a great bargain.
Well, what can I say about this body butter except amazingly, chocolately decadent loveliness! Of my gosh, it's like smothering your body with chocolate, if only I could lick it all off. The butter comes in a nice tub with a screw top lid which I really like as its easy then to scoop some of the mixture out and apply it to your hands or body. I can definitely see why they call it a butter because it has that lovely whipped buttery texture and is a very thick and luxurious cream. When you apply it to your body it smoothes on really nicely although does take a bit of rubbing in because it is so thick but then once its been on a few minutes it melts into the skin perfectly and just leaves me with wonderfully soft smelly skin. According to the Body Shop this cream actually offers 48 hour hydration, not too sure about that because I wash and shower between then but I know it does keep my skin nice and hydrated so I like to think its working.
According to The Body Shop this body butter in particular contains 13 Community Fair Trade ingredients, the most they've ever put into one product. For example on their website they explain that, "Our Community Fair Trade cocoa butter comes from Kuapa Kokoo in Ghana. Cocoa pods are hand-harvested and the beans are extracted, sun-dried, ground and pressed into butter. With over 50,000 small-scale farmers, Kuapa Kokoo is one of the biggest fair trade co-ops in the world. Our trade has helped to fund education and medicine for members and their families. For more information, visit our Community Fair Trade section."
The smell of this body butter is lovely. Its nota complete chocolate, its not like smelling a bar of Dairy Milk but it does have a really wonderful sweet cocoa taste and its not sickly either which is nice. The scent stays on my skin and is quite uplifting and puts a smile on my face for definite.
A lovely body butter I definitely recommend.
