Advantages: Works well, smells nice, cheap

Disadvantages: None for me

When we first moved into our cottage we added a downstairs cloakroom and because the sink is only tiny we don't have room for a conventional soap dish and so we use handwash.

As it is for the cloakroom I usually look out for special offers and the one that I have just finished using is Boots Antibacterial Handwash with Aloe Vera which currently costs £1 for 250ml.

The Packaging

The handwash comes in a flattish square plastic container with a pump action dispenser. It is all plastic and so all recycleable once the contents have all been used. The container is opaque so the green handwash is visible through the sides and you can see how much you have used.

Although the handwash is cheap to buy the container looks smart enough to stand in your kitchen or bathroom.

The label has the blue Boots logo together with the words 'Handwash' and ' Aloe Vera'. There are a couple of green bubbles and inside one is written 'antibacterial moisturises removes germs and combat stubborn odours'.

The label on the back of the container gives a full list of ingredients together with a warning not to get the handwash in your eyes.

The Handwash

The handwash is a green gel which has a lovely fresh smell - I assume that it is the fragrance of Aloe Vera - it is a really pleasant smell whatever it is!

The Use

When you buy the handwash the dispenser is locked in a position where any leaks are avoided so before you can use it you have to turn the pump round in the direction of the arrow shown and then it is ready for action.

To use you just have to put one hand underneath the hole in the dispenser and press the dispenser down with the other hand. You then get a blob of handwash in the palm of your hand.

It is quite thick and resembles shower gel in appearance. As I put my hands under the running water and rub them together I get lots of lather with that same fresh smell.

The main thing that I wanted this product to do is to get my hands clean after I have been painting, gardening, cleaning etc. and it certainly does that! I just have to rub the lather over my hands and rinse off and there you are - nice and clean again!

After use my hands feel nice and clean but my skin does not feel as though it has been dried by the use of the handwash. My hands feel soft, clean and moisturised.

Final Thoughts

Well this is a short review but, frankly, there isn't anything else to say about this product. It's cheap, it works, it smells nice and it helps to keep my skin nice and soft - end of!

Summary: Great handwash!

Even though your review was short, I think it covered all the points a consumer would ever need! Excellent writing.

It is a short review, but I'd never know what else to say about something like handwash anyway, so well done.
