Advantages: really does work, soft lovely looking feet, a little goes a long way!
Disadvantages: smell is a little too strong
Imagine temperatures of 104, dry hot winds blowing across arid landscapes, walking for miles in the hot sun. That's what my poor feet had to put up with for 3 weeks. Funnily enough I wasn't in the middle of the Sahara desert, I was in the southern US. Holidays can be particularly tough on feet especially, if like mine, they are hidden in boots for 11 months of the year. My poor feet often go through torment on holiday as the sun hits them and they start to dry out. You can imagine how 3 weeks in the sun and high temperatures makes them feel. This year however, I was prepared. I treated myself (or rather my feet) to a large squeezy tube of Boots Botanics overnight foot treatment. I can honestly say that it was the best £3 that I have spent in a long time! The idea is that you apply this very rich cream to your feet just before you got to bed. I apply mine when I'm actually in bed as I don't see the point of applying it and then walking all over my carpet! You should then wake up in the morning with wonderfully soft tootsies. You know what - this actually happens from the very first night that you use it. The cream contains extracts of a plant called Queen of the Prairie that work to smooth rough hard skin. I've never heard of this plant before but it is a miracle worker! The cream also contains lavender to help relax your poor tired feet. The cream smells of lavender and nothing else. It's also rather strong smelling and, as I don't particularly like the smell of lavender, it can be a bit overpowering. However, with the fantastic results that this cream produces I don't really care what it smells like! If you are going on holiday somewhere hot take this with you. When your feet are in sandals all day they will dry out with exposure to the sun so they need some pampering. I would also strongly recommend this for walking holidays. The tube contains 100ml and it will last for
ages. The cream is so rich that you only need a small amount to totally cover the soles and heel of your feet. Go on treat your feet!

- 21/07/01 A good op. thanks. I like using the hand treatment, might be worth giving the poor old feet a go as well. |
