When I do the food shopping I always try to make sure I buy as many Fairtrade products as I can. Whether an item is Fairtrade or not is the second most important factor for me in considering which products out of a few different products I am going to buy. We always have Fairtrade bananas, Fairtrade coffee, and other food and drink items in our household, but - and I'm sure its the same in many other houses, too - when it comes to other types of products like clothing and cosmetics, we just seem to completely forget the importance of the fact we should try and buy Fairtrade. If something is not Fairtrade then there is a good chance that it is a product made by slave labour, something completely unfair. So to make sure everything you buy has been fairly produced I would strongly encourage you to buy as many Fairtrade products as you can. Everyone is guilty of not buying everything fairtrade including myself as sometimes the fairtrade products are more expensive and you just can't afford them, or want to save money, but I honestly believe that the right thing to do is buy fairtrade because when I look at the poverty in third world countries it makes me feel so sad and upset, at least when I buy fairtrade it makes me feel just a tiny bit better about it and like I am actually doing something, even if it is something relatively very small, to help the poor people suffering from poverty in third world countries.

So when I received this body butter as a Christmas present not only was I excited about the delicious and tempting mango flavour that it has featured on the lid, but I was also really happy to learn that it is a fairtrade product. By the way, you know something is fairtrade if it has that little black, blue and yellow symbol on it which shows what looks like a person holding up one arm, also it will usually say somewhere on the product the word 'Fairtrade' as well so that you can be sure.

The tub this comes in looks very similar to the tubs that The Body Shop body butters come in. I have always been a big fan of those body lotions so I was eager to find out whether this one was going to be as good as them. The tub is orange, wide and short. The label on the lid is shown in the picture. I think the look of the body butter is quite nice, really. Its not like most of my body lotions and butters which are mainly all pink and girly looking. This one looks more exotic, and like it would appeal to women who aren't that girly, as well as those who are. I don't know if I would have been drawn to this in a shop as I didn't buy it myself I got it for christmas, but to be honest I don't think I would have been, judging by looking at all the other body lotions and butters which I have bought for myself. I don't normally go for the colour orange. So I am really glad someone did buy me this, so I got to try it out, as my first impression with the thought of avoiding it would have been entirely wrong! As I absolutely LOVE this body butter.

First of all, I just can't say how much I absolutely love the mango flavour. I love eating mango fruits and tasting the flavour, so when I put this body butter on my mouth is practically drooling over the delicious way that my skin now smells! The smell actually lasts for a while, too, which is great. If I put this on before bed I can still lightly smell it the next day.
Another benefit of this product is that it leaves my skin feeling so soft and silky after I have used it that I just can't keep my hands off myself! It moisturises my skin really well and makes it feel really soft and smooth. It really is excellent quality. I'm definitely a big fan of this and will buy it again when I run out. I definitely recommend this - I love it!
