Advantages: Smells incredible, leaves skin baby-soft
Disadvantages: None for me - but might smell a bit too sweet for some tastes
** What is it? **
A moisturising body butter that, according to the packaging blurb, will nourish an hydrate the skin. It is recommended that you use it after a shower or bath, smoothing it onto the skin and paying special attention to particularly dry areas.
** Packaging **
The body butter comes in a flat, sturdy, transparent plastic pot (which is recyclable) with a dark-pink screw-on lid, which fits tightly and means that there is no danger of the contents leaking, even if you're carrying it around.
** Application **
On removing the lid you're immediately hit by a warm, sweet, creamy-biscuity fragrance (Fox's Classic to be exact, at least, that's what I think it smells like!). The butter, which is a very pale brown, is fairly solid as body creams go but is still really easy to scoop out of the tub and spread over the skin. It melts into my skin really quickly and there's no trace of the greasy film that some body butters can leave behind. In fact, the first time I used this I was really pleasantly surprised at the speed with which it sinks in. I only needed to wait about a minute after application before getting dressed, and nothing rubbed off on my clothes.
** Does it do what it's supposed to? **
Definitely. It is a fantastic product. Since Christmas I've been using this almost every day after my bath or shower, in conjunction with a body scrub a few times a week, and I can honestly say I don't remember when my skin was last in such good condition. The skin on my arms has become incredibly smooth and my legs, which are quite sensitive, have not shown the slightest hint of irritation, even after shaving.
** Price **
The product costs £7.50 for 200ml, which, while not cheap, is completely worth it in my opinion, especially since it contains fair trade and organic ingredients. It will keep for 24 months after opening, but my first 200ml pot only lasted about 4 weeks as I liked it so much!
** Conclusion **
A yummy, sweet-smelling, indulgent body butter that melts into the skin and leaves it soft and supple.
