Advantages: Smells delicious and soothes my skin.

Disadvantages: Can get a little drying after the fact.

As a result of over shaving my legs through the years, I have ended up with very dry and very sore skin, mostly situated on the lower part of my legs.
As a result of this I tend to have to go for reasonably heavy duty creams to try and even out the bumpy surface, and smooth and soothe the skin too, not an easy task when even some un-fragranced creams irritate me!

After a visit to my local Boots I decided to treat myself to some body butter, after previously using some and finding that my skin responded beautifully to it.

The product I will now review is - "Boots extracts, nectarine body butter"

It did take me a little while to choose this particular "flavour", I hate it when there is a choice, I was going to get the equally delicious sounding and smelling vanilla one, this was due to the fact it was £5.00 cheaper than the rest (?), but my darling sister decided to treat me to a dear one with her points, she is a complete sweetheart!

I decided on the nectarine as it seemed to be that much stronger in scent, and I have always been a bit of a sucker for fruity creams and potions.

The tub itself is round and is about 3 ½" inches wide and 1 ¼" deep, this equates to 200ml of the orange butter cream.
The id is bright orange in colour with all the usual information present, brand name, product name, contents and weights, the statement that this will leave skin "moisturised, hydrated, soft and smooth".
There is also a statement saying that the nectarine oil is organic with the cocoa butter being organic and sustainable sourced and community traded.

To use unscrew the lid! Ok, obviously, the first thing I would like to mention, which in my opinion was a not a brilliant start is the fact that there is no inner lid, you know the one's I mean to stop the cream from attaching itself to the under side of the lid, and once opened dropping from it's hiding place, so immediately I lost some of the cream due to this reason.....ok, nit picking I know, onto the butter itself.

The smell is divine, and really very strong, so strong it lingers delicious on your skin for a good hour after application.
The butter is thick and, well butter like!

To apply, and I like to do this straight after a shower as my pores are more open to the idea and usually because my legs are feeling delicate due to the shaving.
I apply a small amount, about the size of a fifty pence piece and apply straight to my skin, this was the fits mistake and it seemed to disappear instantly. The second blob I applied I emulsified between my hands first then applied, this made the butter warmer thus making my skin more receptive to it, and it also seemed to make it go a little further.
After rubbing for a good five minutes the butter was absorbed as well as it was going to, I have since found it easier to apply this before bed and putting my pyjama's on, this saves getting any grease stains onto day clothes.

My skin is left quite greasy to the touch, but not in anyway unpleasant, after having sore and dry skin like mine greasy is a plus sign! The cream hasn't at that point irritated, stung or affected my skin in a bad way at all, so far I am impressed.

After sleeping on it I woke to smooth, soft if not slightly dry skin, I am not sure whether the after effects of shaving means I will have to spend a lot of time doing damage limitation, or whether the cream is the drying agent, needless to say it wasn't as bad as before the cream.

Pricewise this cost me, or should I say Emma around the £8.00 mark, expensive but long lasting, I have this tub for a month and it has just ran out, not bad for daily use.

Do I recommend, yes! It does what it's meant to, it smoothes and softens without irritation and it really does smell incredible, a little drying after the fact I can cope with.
