Advantages: Smells very fragrant
Disadvantages: Not good for relaxation
I do like to chill but like alot of us I juggle my life and it's manic. Just lately I have found time to pamper myself scarce on the ground and I feel like I never stop. When I finally think I have the time it turns out that I don't! Baths have gone out the window (showering though don't worry lol) and time to sleep is getting less and less at this time of year what with a new man in my life and parties. An example of this is just today I have been out all day with said new man and his daughter seeing Santa and spending time just the three of us. Means then that I completely forgot to eat and still, even then I got home I had to go out shopping for yet more Christmas pressies and wrap stuff and I have to sort parcels out for other people grrrr oh and that's without the massive clean my room needs! I'm not alone in being busy though I'm very aware of that lol
So one of my favourite smells (along with Vanilla) is Lavender. I love it's therapeutic qualities and the smell really chills me out. When I saw this product I realised that sure I may not have the time for the big chill till well after Christmas but I can get a stress out, chill-busting spray! Sounds a great compromise to me so it does lol
The Packaging....
50ml cylinder shaped see through glass bottle of which I can see a light pink liquid through. It has a silver pull on/off lid and under that there is a matching silver spray button (not aerosol). On the front of the bottle there is a pale yellow sticky label and on the front in light brown writing I'm told it is Boots, French Lavender, Relaxing Body Mist, (blended with pure essential oil of French Lavender). On the back I'm given a couple of warnings, the size is stated (as I've listed already) and details to contact Boots are listed as well. It's a nice bottle, old fashioned, plain and simple in it's approach but it's a nice one to proudly display and of course this comes from a range of products (talc, shower gel, bath foam, crystals and body lotion also available) and I paid about £4.50 for this and it's only available in Boots as it's a Boots own product.
Using It....
It squirts out incredibly wet and it's colourless. You can see it splatter the skin with moisture, however it dries very quickly (a couple of minutes) and leaves no grease or residue of any kind. in fact you can't feel it at all on the skin and it's none drying out either.
What your get with this is a heavy scent of Lavender with a slight musky undertone to it. It is heavy, it is distinctive and I wouldn't wear this out of my house unless I was in my 70's! It lasts all day and gives total freshness but is very pungent although it is lovely if you like Lavender but my friends would so take the mick out of me smelling like a granny it would be unreal! It makes clothes smell heavily of it too but that smell does wash out of clothes very easily indeed and when you wash your skin the product is gone for good too very easily.
Overall....
Does it relax me? No not really but it is a nice fragrance if you like the smell of Lavender but I wouldn't say it's a stress buster or relaxant in any way shape or form! It does keep you smelling nice and feeling fresh all day long though! So as a long lasting body spray it's great, as something to relax you...no not really.
Summary: A great body fragrance.... this really is! Sexy...well it isn't lol
