When you take the lid off it has a good strong (not overpowering) sweet smell, which I think smells strongly of wheatgerm and honey. I do really like the smell. The olive is presumably giving it's smooth quality - it doesn't seem to be affecting the smell at all.

I was given this as a present for Christmas. It comes in a a large shallow plastic tub, with a clear base and black lid. It's in a range so is similar to other Boots "Mediterranean" products. I do like the pot. It is lovely and wide so you can get your fingers in easily to scoop out the butter.
