Advantages: smell stays on the skin for a bit

Disadvantages: Everything else!

I love Lush products - especially their bath ballistics - but they are all very expensive, so I only ever buy them as a treat. I recently had a coupon for 100 advantage points (worth £1) when buying any Natural Collection product, so, seeing as their 'bath fizzers' were only £1.50, I looked at it as though I was getting a £1 back on my purchase making this only 50p - much cheaper than anything you will find in Lush!!

~About the product~

As you can see from the picture, the product is a vibrant orange shade, and is packaged in plastic shrink wrap. It's slightly smaller than most of the Lush ballistics, but is still a decent size.

I like fruity fragrances and chose this one because it is Mango and Papaya scented. There are two other bath fizzers available, unfortunately I'm not sure what the fragrances are, but one is cream coloured, the other blue. You can also buy all three together in a pack.

~Using it~

The first problem I had with this product was removing the wrapping. It has two layers of plastic wrap and both were very hard to get into, and came off in lots of little bits rather than one big piece.

On opening this, you can smell the strong, fruity mango and papaya scent, which is really nice. It states on the packaging that this should be dropped into a pre-run bath, but I put it in while the water was still running. It immediately started to colour the water a deep shade of orange (almost red), but I found that it took a really long time to dissolve, and was still fizzing around the bath not long before I got out!

~Results~

Unfortunately once this was in the water I could barely smell it at all. I usually buy these predominantly for the fragrance, and I know with similar Lush products the smell not only is strong, but lingers for ages, so the fact I could hardly smell this at all once it was in the water was a big let down. I did find that some of the scent was on my skin after use, but even then this only lasted an hour or so before disappearing completely.

I didn't notice any change to the feel of my skin after using this either. Despite the strong orange colour it did not stain my skin or my bath.

~Price and Availability~

This costs £1.50 and is only available from Boots.

~My Verdict~

I guess next time I want a bath bomb I will go to Lush after all. Apart from colouring the water this product did not seem to do anything at all, and needless to say I will not be buying it again.

Summary: I'll be sticking to Lush in the future

I am not a fan of bath fizzers as I have had the same problems in the past, it's rare since I had my daughter that I get the chance to indulge in a bath as opposed to 5minute showers, will try a lush store next time I want something to drift away in!great review by the way, karen

I have the blue one upstairs. I shall have to try it now and see if it is any better than this one, Susan
