“ Brand: Boots / Spray / Type: Body Spray „
I bought this Natural Collection mango and papaya body spray when it was on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots. I also bought the apple and lime body spray and the passionfruit body spray from the range.
~ Natural Collection ~
Natural Collection is a range by Boots, aimed at teenagers and younger women. They make body creams, shower gels, face masks, body lotions and sprays, mostly in fruity flavours and they also have a range of make-up.
~ Packaging ~
It comes in a clear plastic cylindrical bottle. The sticker on the front has a picture of a papaya with some leaves and flowers.
The body spray itself is a clear orange colour.
The bottle has a black pump dispenser, which is underneath a small black lid. The bottle contains 150ml of body spray.
~ Price and availability ~
This body spray is available from Boots or online at www.boots.com and it costs £2.00, but it is often on offer 3 for 2.
~ In use ~
The body spray feels cool and refreshing on my skin. I tend to use to freshen up before I leave the house or if I am carrying it with me it is handy to use during the day.
I also spray the body spray over my clothes, which makes them smell nice and helps the scent to linger for longer.
The pump dispenser releases the body spray from the bottle in sharp bursts and I find 2-3 sprays is all I need.
The scent is quite strong and fruity.
I can smell the mango and papaya straight away. It is a tropical scent. It reminds me of sweets, particularly the red and orange heart shaped sweets covered in sugar that I used to get in mix-ups when I was younger.
It is a very pleasant, uplifting scent. It is quite sweet, but not sickly.
I think it has quite a young scent, but I think women of all ages will find it pleasant. I don't think anyone would find it offensive.
After spraying this body spray the smell hangs around for about 2-3 hours before wearing off. I wouldn't expect much more from a body spray, but I have used body sprays in the past with better projection. Once this has settled on my skin I can still smell it, but I don't think other people would notice the scent on me.
~ Conclusion ~
When I bought these body sprays this one was the one I was least excited about trying, but I really like the scent of this.
It is young, fresh and fruity and I think it is a great body spray.
I would recommend this body spray and I would buy it again.
I am a big fan of the Boots Natural Collection range of lotions, sprays and bath products. They come in a range of beautiful and intoxicating fragrances and more importantly are wonderfully cheap but still good quality. Recently I received a lot of goodies from the range in this lovely mango and papaya smell and the body spray was one of the products.
One of my favourite items is this mango and papaya body spray. A 150ml bottle costs just £2 which is a great price in my opinion and not something you have to think about spending your money on. If it were priced in the £10 region I would think more about it but £2 is nothing for a nice refreshing spray.
Boots say, "get fresh all over with the stimulating fragrance of Natural Collection mango and Papaya body spray that leaves skin instantly revitalised."
I really like fruity fragrances, especially in the summer time and I think body sprays are a nice way of fragrancing your body when you don't want to wear a heavy perfume.
The spray is a manual spray so it comes in a liquid form, its not an aerosol and so it just comes out as a mist when you spray it. I find that you get a nice even coverage when you use this spray and its a well designed packaging in my opinion. In think in this way you don't get that aerosol smell like you do with say an Impulse body spray.
The spray comes in a see through plastic bottle with a lovely picture of the fruit on the front. The liquid is quite a nice orange colour which is the colour of the fruit. I like to use this when I come out of the shower and I'm not really going anywhere special, I just like it to give me some fragrance and nothing too heavy. The fruity smell is nice and sweet and quite succulent, almost good enough to eat. I can't distinguish between the two fruits but the mix is lovely and tropical and vibrant. the smell stays on my skin well although not all day but to give you a bit of a nice spray after a shower and give my skin a bit of moisture and a nice mist its lovely.
I think this is a lovely body spray and is a real bargain in my opinion and will last quite a few months so a good buy and one from The Natural Collection that I recommend.
~ Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Body Spray ~
I adore using cosmetics and toiletries with fruit-based scents, and they form a huge part of my collection. I had recently tried out the "Passion fruit Body Spray" from the well-known "Boots Natural Collection" range of toiletries and cosmetics and had really liked it. When my spray was running out, I popped to my local branch of Boots to purchase another, and ended up trying out a few more items from the Natural Collection range at the same time.
One of the purchases I made at the time was another Body Spray, namely the "Mango & Papaya Body Spray." The product really appealed to me as I love the scent of these fruits and I thought their fruity essence would make the spray a really refreshing product to use. I paid only £2 for the generously-sized bottle of spray which is 150ml in size, and this seemed like reasonable value to me when you consider I regularly spend around £1.70 on body spray products from the "Impulse" brand which are provided in a smaller canister.
The Mango & Papaya Body Spray is packaged in an attractive bottle that is circular in shape and made of robust plastic, through which I can see the liquid spray inside. There is a fairly attractive 'fruity' image printed on the front of the bottle, and all relevant product information is provided for our convenience. There is a plastic 'pump' dispenser on top of the bottle which dispenses just the right amount of liquid body spray from the bottle with each spritz. I have noticed similar bottles to this one can splash a huge amount of liquid from their bottles which is not always preferred, especially with scented products that can be quite strong, leaving me feeling like I am literally 'drenched' in their robust fragrance as a result of too much spray being sprtized from the bottle.
The aroma of the body spray is completely refreshing as a result of the fruity ingredients contained within. This is what I had been hoping for, so I was delighted to discover that the product lived up to my expectations in this regard. The mango scent in particular is very robust, and although there is a definite sweetness to be found in the spray's overall aroma, I do not find that this has any sort of sickly 'edge' to it that would perhaps make it slightly off-putting to use.
I find too that the rich, fruity tones in the product make it feel extremely refreshing to use and I can quite imagine that this would be even more evident if the product was used in a hot climate. I intend to find out, and will be taking my bottle when I next travel to somewhere sunny! The wonderful, fruit-based scents have a rather 'awakening' quality to them and I found this make the product feel really pleasant, especially if I had applied it after stepping out of the shower or bath on a particularly warm night. This evidence has led me to agree whole-heartedly with Boots' statement about the product, claiming "Get fresh all over with the stimulating fragrance of Natural Collection Mango and Papaya Body Spray that leaves skin instantly revitalised." I have to agree that yes, there is a rather revitalising and refreshing quality to be found when using the Body Spray and I find it completely agreeable.
The scent fades greatly after a few hours wear - surprisingly so, given it's robust feel, although it can still be detected, quietly 'resting' on the skin if I seek it out. This is something that I have found is the case with most other brands of body spray that I use on a daily basis however, so I won't be deducting any stars from the product rating for this. I do wish that the scent would become more full-bodied over time, or not fade to this extent at the very least but the product is not a perfume after all, so I can't feel too disappointed at the results, finding them to be on a par with any other body spray products that I wear regularly.
On the plus side, the scent's ability to 'hide' itself is agreeable when perfumes or fragrances are being worn at the same time, as the body spray doesn't interfere with these in any way, allowing them to be detected over and above the fruity scent of the spray. I also find that even if the spray is applied extremely generously over my skin, its scent is not at all over-powering to wear, nor does it become too 'heady' and overtake any other fragranced products that I have chosen to apply at the same time, so thumbs up from me on that point too.
I am pleased to report that I have noticed nothing in the way of aggravation or irritation to my sensitive skin after using this product, and even the troublesome patches of eczema that will flare easily have remained quiet, which is somewhat surprising given the strong aroma that the product carries. This result has allowed me to conclude that the product may carry a rather gentle formulation that has perhaps been designed to be suitable for use on sensitive skin.
The bottle has lasted fairly well, probably because I generally find that two or three sprays from the bottle is more than enough for my own requirements. It is true to say that there have been times when I have chosen to apply more than this to my skin, but for the most part I find that a couple of generous sprays is more than enough for me. I think this makes the £2 price tag very reasonable, and the product has felt like a rather economical purchase due to the bottle lasting reasonably well.
I have nothing negative to report about the Boots Mango & Papaya Body Spray and it is a product that I will definitely repurchase in the future. I think the scent is gorgeous and has a lovely refreshing quality to it that I just cannot get enough of. I have no complaints in terms of value for money or with the bottle lasting well either, so the product comes with my full recommendation and full marks in the product rating score.... Excellent!
With my latest set of Pinecone Research vouchers I headed down to Boots with the intension of buying some Natural Collection body sprays - which are a hell of a lot cheaper than perfumes and more suitable to use when the weathers warm!
I have had these sprays before - I can remember owning the Strawberry and Dewberry ones in the past. I was happy to see at the time of writing this review Boots have one of their usual 3 for 2 offers on which includes these perfumes - meaning I got three of these sprays for just £4 instead of their usual price of £2 each.
I did manage to pick up a Strawberry one to my delight but the Dewberry scent seemed to have dissapeared... Not sure if its been taken off the shelves completely or just my Boots store doesn't stock it. As well as the strawberry scent to make up the three I was purcashing I also picked up a Vanilla one and this Mango & Papaya scent after having a quick sniff in the shop.
The bottles in the Boots Natural Collection range all come in 150ml size which to me is just an ideal size especially if you like to change the scents every now and again - it lasts a while but not forever...
All the bottles are transparent which is great for seeing how much product you have left and all have different images on the front of the bottles according to the type of scent you have purchased - The Mango & Payaya scent shows a large image of a Papaya with bland leaf and flower decor in the background.
All parts of the bottle are made out of recycled plastic - I have dropped these bottles a few times and have not had any accidents so far due to unreliable plastic which is a bonus!
Rather than an aerosol spray like you get with many deoderants these bottles are just a spray nozzle which are protected by a near-transparent lid identical colour to the nozzle. To me this is great as you have a lot more control over how much you spray, it lasts far longer than an aerosol and is better for your and others around you with conditions such as asthma. The lid itself is firm and poses no risk off falling off for the liquid to drip all over your handbag.
One great thing I love about this bottle is when its finished it is re-usuable. As a person constantly cleaning I am always on the hunt for spare spray bottles which when these three sprays are finished I will have three to use for this purpose! The spray nozzle can easily be twisted off to do this.
The liquid itself is a transparent peach colour - which is similar colouring to the fruits it represents. The consistancy is water-like which makes it a great light spray to use during warm weather. When sprayed on your skin it does give a cool-like sensation like cooling mist which to be is an added bonus.
The scent of this particular spray reminds me of Robinsons tropical fruit diluated juice! Which if you have tried it, has a distinctive smell and this is the closest thing I can match it to - in other words completely yummy! The colouring seems to turn clear after leaving the bottle and doesn't leave any orange dye marks on your clothes.
At the moment I am using these mainly during the week as an alternative to perfume for work, I am putting this on first thing in the morning and the smell does last for around 4 hours if you don't top up and other people do notice it as well!
My skin is normal / sometimes dry but I have not noticed any irritation caused by these sprays to date. When you look on the back of the label, you notice it doesn't seem to have as many ingredients compared to other sprays and perfumes but some do look suspectively chemical - so if you have any worries about this it may be best to check the ingredients before purchase.
Verdict - Personally I really like this one, the scent does remind you of summer holidays and it may be benefical to take this one abroad with you! Some people it may be too sweet and sickly for however so you may want to test it in the store before you buy! Even if you don't like it you do normally find other scents which may suit better!
At the time of writing this review you can buy 3 sprays for the price of 2 - totalling at £4 or you can buy singles at £2 each.
During the summer months, I prefer to use a body spray as opposed to a perfume. This is because in the heat, I like something a bit lighter which you can spritz all over, as perfume can be quite heavy on the skin. When placing an order online, I put this body spray in my basket to take on holiday with me, as I thought mango and papaya seemed like a quite pleasing, summer scent. Unfortunately, I was not as as pleased with this as I'd have hoped...
Firstly, I did order this online on Boots' website www.boots.com and the reason for doing this was that I had a huge order of holiday essentials needed, so felt it would be easier to do it this way. Had I have purchased this in store, I would have had a sniff of the body spray and realised early on that it was not for me! This is only available in Boots' stores and on their website as Natural Collection is a budget, own brand from Boots themselves. The price I paid for this body spray was £2.00, which I thought was reasonable, but definitely not cheap. I was perhaps expecting it a little cheaper from their own brand, but it is a fair sized bottle.
The bottle itself is 150ml, meaning it is a good size to pop into your bag and carry around with you. Also, as it is not in an aerosol can, I find that the product seems to last much longer, as not much comes out of it as air. It comes in a clear, plastic bottle and the liquid itself is an orange, pink sort of shade. The bottle is lovely, and I think it looks of quite a good quality for the price paid, with a picture of papaya and flowers all around it. I like to keep this at home on my vanity table as I think it looks nicer there.
It comes with a lid, and to use the product you simply have to remove this, and spray down to dispense the body spray. One thing I was happy with is that it is really simple to use. You do not have to use much force to get a good amount out. I spray this all over my body around four or five times and it seems to do the job which is fantastic. For ease of use this is just excellent.
Unfortunately, this is where everything seemed to go wrong. The smell, mango and papaya attracted me at first because it was so fruity and exotic, and this seemed fit for my holiday abroad in the heat. I wanted something light and fruity to compliment my outfits. This spray however is just overwhelming! The scent of it is just TOO fruity if that is possible, and very sweet. It is more to a teenager or child's taste than adults. Personally, it is not something I would like to wear on my skin at all, as it is just far too sweet. (And I am one who is known to love sweet and fruity scents)! I did use a fair amount whilst I was on holiday, but this was because it was complimentary in the heat, but as an everyday scent this is just awful, and I have barely touched it since I have been back in England.
However, despite the scent being too sweet for the body, I have found another use for it. I now use this as a room and linen spray. I have found it effective to just spritz around my bedroom to create a lovely, sweet but not overpowering smell. When you are spraying it into an open space such as a room, the spray is not so in your face, so this is the use I have found for it now rather than throwing it in the bin as that would be a waste!
One more negative thing to add to this body spray is that it simply does not last! With body sprays, you can not expect them to stay on throughout the day, as this is something you use a perfume for. However, the scent really does seem to disappear within minutes - if that. There is just no lasting time with this body spray, and it has prevented me from ever trying any of their other sprays. Considering the scent is so powerful and sweet, you would expect it to be under the nose for some time after spraying, however it just seems to disappear.
Overall, this body spray did not turn out as good as I had expected. The smell is just far too sweet, so I would recommend it for if you are off on a sunny holiday, but otherwise just stay away from this! I will award two stars simply because it lasted me through my holiday, and I have now found use for it as an air freshener. But the price simply does not justify this as a body spray, as the smell is too sweet and there is just no staying power at all. Thanks for reading and hope it helps.
I used to buy a lot of products out of Boots as I really like the scents from the Natural Collection and the Fresh range. Often the offers are not so bad as well. Thesedays I don't buy as much from there and admit I tend to pick up products more from Avon or in a Supermarket when I am in for my shopping. It's just so much easier that way isn't it? However I do go into Boots when I am down the street and when I spotted this I just had to try it. It sounded like the kind of scent for me.
This was selling for £2 which was a bit cheaper than normal. You can buy this scent in other products from the range as well. This comes in a 75ml bottle so it is an ok size to carry about as well.
This is a pump action spray bottle which I find lasts longer than aerosol tins. The bottle looks like the picture on here and the orange colouring looks bright and fruity and the colourful pictures on the front are ok too.
So how does this smell? It is a lovely fresh, zesty tropical kind of scent. Even just after a couple of sprays of this I could smell the scent quite strong, and it is lovely. Just the kind of scent that I go for. I would say the main scent is the Mango which smells quite sweet, but the Papaya is mixed through as well and they both go together well.
This scent seemed to linger well and I could still smell this faintly after a few hours. I still reapplied this through the day and I will be buying this scent again.
A great Fruity scent which is exactly the kind of scent that I go for. If you like the Mango range from The Body Shop then you will like this range as it smells similar and is priced cheaper as well.
One thing I do like to purchase is body spray. I find it an instant refresher and perfect to wear alone on nice warm, summer days (not that we get very many of them at all really mind you lol) and this range of Boots Natural Collection I usually find to be of very nice scents, great quality and value for money and this one cost me £2.00 the other day in Boots but it can also be purchased from Boots.com as well an there are a few scents in this type of product now available.
This is a pump action see through bottle and very simple in design and we are told that it is Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Body Spray and then on the back of it ingredients and the size is listed as well as contact details for Boots. There is small see through cap/lid that covers the top of it to stop it spraying out at random or anything like that. Nice, simple packaging this is and informative enough too though as I said it is a basic looking bottle with a slice of papaya shown and the rich orange, transparent liquid can be seen through it which is rather handy so you can see when and if it needs replacing.
I simply use this as after bathing or showering and at arms length away from my skin and rather generously. It sprays out of the bottle rather wet but dries on and into the skin instantly leaving no feeling or appearance or residue behind itself at all.
This review is also posted on Ciao under this same username.
The fragrance of this, in my opinion is lovely. Yes it is a very fruity and a rich scent and you can really detect the juicy mango smell this has more than anything with the sweetness of the passionfruit grounding the scent somewhat and that sweetness is rather natural.
Once sprayed on my skin I find this to linger on it for a good few hours rather pleasantly though of course the original intense aroma does subdue over time. However this is a nice quality body spray and I do like it though I have to admit I wear this one for daytime freshness and more floral toned ones for evenings. Nice though for fruity fans!
My cousin received a set of Boots Natural Collection Sprays, and kindly let me keep one. I picked this one, because I anticipated it had a tropical fruity scent. I was right, but it wasn't the scent for me. I thought it felt a bit sickly, and the scent didn't stick around as long as I expected a body spray to stick around.
I currently use the product to quickly freshen up my clothes, if I'm wearing something again and want it to smell fresh, as the scent doesn't seem as overpowering when spritzed on clothes.
The spray comes in a clear plastic bottle (not an aerosol), containing 75ml of spray retailing at around £2 per bottle, although there are 3 for 2 promotional offers on at times. I feel this is overly pricey for a product that doesn't do the job of leaving you feeling refreshed. This product is also available in a range of different scents.
I also feel when applied to skin, the product feels slightly sticky, clearly having the opposite effect to leaving you feeling fresh.
I wouldn't recommend this product, but maybe the other scents aren't as overwhelming. The spray works better as something used on the clothes you wear to freshen them up, rather than your body.
I was in the hunt for a new body spray; I had previously used Boots natural collection ice musk and vanilla musk, however this time I was looking for a new fragrance to try. Luckily for me Boots natural collection body spray products were on offer, so I bought a few to try. There were some new exotic fragrances on display in their range.
They have lots of gorgeous scents to try, they are the following:
* Ice musk body spray
* Vanilla body spray
* Wild strawberry body spray
* Passion Fruit body spray
* Samphire and sea mineral body spray
* Apple and lime body spray
*And finally, Mango and papaya body spray.
I was spoiled for choices as there was a lot to choose from, some which suits somebody's taste and other which suited someone else's taste.
== Boots Natural Collection Mango and Papaya Body Spray ==
The soft plastic bottle is pretty basic to say the truth. It was made out of clear plastic showing the gorgeous amber liquid concealed inside it. There was a picture of a halved papaya surrounded by flowers on the front of the bottle .The smell was divine; it reminded me of the tropical beaches and sunshine. The sweet mango and the exotic papaya were blending perfectly. It was so sweet and the smell of mango was over powerful.
I like to use body spray, especially in the humid summer days as it keeps my skin fresh and revitalised. I spray it all over my body except the eyes and the broken skin of course. I like to spray it on my clothes and most importantly on my hair to freshen it up and make it last for hours.
This body spray is hand pumped so when I first press the pump, it sprays mist-like; however it came out quickly getting a vast squirt of the body spray. The moment it touched my skin, it felt cooler and fresher instantly. The liquid spray soaked into my skin and penetrated quickly. When I first sprayed it on my skin; it smelt nice and sweet, probably sickly sweet for some but in summery hot days, nothing is too sweet. I loved the smell of it on my skin, the fruity scent was extremely strong and powerful but the smell wasn't strong enough to stay on my body for long as it was fading gradually leaving a delicate fruity smell; so I had to spray it again and again to keep fresh and renew the smell all the time.
I have a sensitive nose so sometimes I sneeze, however with this body spray I did not sneeze at all, it didn't irritate my skin but it might irritate your skin if you are sensitive to perfume.
My husband liked the smell especially when I applied it to my hair, I felt fresh all day long and my friends thought it was a fruity perfume.
You can purchase this bottle from boots the chemist store or buy them online from boots.com. The original price is £1.99 per 150 ml bottle however I got it as buy one and get one at half price so two of them were for less than £3 which was a bargain. At the moment it's on offer again this time though it is 3 for 2. The body spray should be used within 24 months after opening as it mentioned on the back of the bottle however it only lasted me a couple of months of frequent use. The bottle is recyclable and reusable so you finish using it please recycle or simply reuse it as I always do.
The bottle is not compact but it's convenient to take it with me everywhere, as it can easily fit into my hand bag.
I highly recommend it as it is Fresh, sweet and gentle to use and if you liked this product, you can have a whole range of matching products with the same fragrance like body butter, bath essence, body cream, face mask, body scrub and shower gel all of them which have the same mango and papaya sensational smell, so you can smell tropical forest-esque from head to toe.
PS: It has no antiperspirant effect therefore it cannot be used as an antiperspirant.
Thank you for reading my review
After wandering around boots for a while hunting down a new body spray I found this. It is in boots own 'Natural Collection' range and costs about £2 for 150ml. As an obvious bargain I knew I had to try at least one of the range. I'm in love with sweet, tropical scents like mango so this seemed perfect for me!
The product looks to die for- a beautiful orange colour reminding me of cocktails!!! It also has a papaya fruit on it and adorable little flowers.
I first smelt this in the store, I didn't bother spraying it as it wasn't actually a tester. At the time it smelt gorgeous, like tropical beaches and fruity drinks.
Instantly addicted, I took it home, eager to try it out. I spritzed it all over after a shower but unfortunately I was a little dissapointed. For me it was just too sweet and sickly, luckily though it didn't take long to wear of (although this would be a disadvantage had it smelt nice.)
I really wanted to like this product so the next day I applied just 1 spritz, again I was dissapointed. It still smelt too sickly for me and faded even quicker than before.
Because of this I wouldn't recommend it to people, unless you like to smell *incredibly* sweet as it really is overwhelming.
Now I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm extremely picky about body sprays, perfumes and deodorants, they have to be extremely beautiful smelling otherwise I won't use them, and not a huge fan of body sprays, tend to go for perfumes. But after my best friend brought Boots Natural Collection Samphire and Sea Minerals body spray (which was nice, but not smells like more of a winter body spray.), I saw the Mango and Papaya version and thought it'll be a light, summery smelling spray.
After spraying it on me after my shower, I thought 'wow!', the smell was so tropical, fruity, and really delicious, but also make my skin soft and hydrated, unlike most perfumes which, in the summer, make my skin sticky and are usually to heavy for summer. I was not the only one who loved the smell, lots of people have commented about the beautiful smelling spray, and also how nice it looks in the bottle, with the bright orange colour, good enough to eat.
The only negative point with this spray, I thought, was that it fades from clothes and skin fairly quickly, but with the 150ml bottle, it's fairly easily to pop in any handbag, and re-spray when needed.
Another positive point, is that the product is easy to spray, and also very easy to adjust to the amount of spray you use, which is great for people like me, who practically spray the whole bottle on! Also at £1.50-£2, who can resist it?
Get fresh all over with the stimulating fragrance of mango and papaya that leaves skin instantly revitalised /
