A friend of mine bought me this from boots and I can see exactly why she did! It is so beautiful smelling that it is really hard to resist and it also looks lovely too. It comes in a large, quite tall tub and is see through. Inside you can see the cream which is very interesting looking as it's in layers of rich red and creamy white. It looks like something you should put a spoon in and eat! It really is lovely looking and very different so when you see this on the shelf you can't help but look at it. The lid unscrews and I find it is easy enough to go back on afterwards. The cream itself is quite gloopy. It's easy to get out as it's not all that thick and then I lather it on my body. The smell is divine! it smells like fresh strawberries and cream and this is really the case of when something smells so much more like food than a beauty product! It is mouth watering! The result is nice smooth skin which isn't dry. I don't use this regularly, I like to preserve it as it is so lovely but also because I forget or use a different product but I do think it helps to keep skin hydrated. The smell does stay too and is a little strong so I tend to just apply this before bed time. It does take a bit longer than other products to absorb into the skin too so it is best to do before bed when you're not in a rush to get dressed.
When I was younger and all I could afford to buy with my pocket money was a body cream from Boots, the Natural Collection was one of the ones I chose from. I've always loved fruity fragrances and when I was younger I thought this cream was the most beautiful looking cream I had ever seen and bought it completely on the look of the cream and the fact that it was strawberry flavoured and nothing else. I didn't really mind if it wasn't that good, I just liked the look of it. So, whats so special looking about this cream? Well, it comes in a round tub with a screw top lid. Inside the cream is a swirly mixture of red and white and looks like a lovely creamy strawberry dessert, it looks almost good enough to eat. The tub is see through so the main look and design of the tub and cream will show through the tub and you will see the swirls and pattern of this lovely cream. There is the swirly mixture of red strawberry gel like substance and the white creamy bit interspersed within it. It's almost a shame when you start to sue the cream and you disrupt the look of it so sometimes I have it on my chest of drawers for a while just to look t and not to use, I do use it in the end though. I have used this cream on and off for years now and buy a tub maybe once a year or once every two years as I like it but its not a favourite cream of mine. Its got an amazing smell to it, its very strong and fruity and a nice strawberry smell. It lasts for a while on my sink but not too long. The cream is nice enough but its not as moisturising and does not turn my skin as soft as some other lotions like Vaseline do so I tend to use those every day and this just when I want to smell nice every one in a while. What I like about it coming in a tub is that you can open the top and scoop a big bit out on your hands in other to smooth all over your body. A tub costs just £3.50 and will last quite a while if you use it infrequently so I do recommend this cream just not for an everyday cream. It is available at Boots.
I received a tub of the Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry body cream alongside a few other Natural Collection products as a Christmas gift from my sister. This is a product I was familiar with, having used it as a teenager and once or twice in recent years too, so I knew it was a product that I liked. ~~Packaging~~ The body cream comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. It is adorned with stickers showing cartoon pictures of strawberries with small hearts and flowers in the background. It's quite childish looking really, but perfect for the teenage market which it is aimed at. What really makes this stand out in terms of appearance is the fact that the cream inside is layered into red and white swirls, which can be seen through the tub. Having owned a few of these creams in a few different fragrances now, I know that unfortunately the cream doesn't always stay perfect looking and often ends up looking quite messy, especially if it's thrown around a bit in your carrier bag on the way home! ~~My thoughts~~ The smell of the body cream is instantly recognisable as strawberry, but I personally feel that it has a hint of artificialness about it. My fiancé disagrees with me about this, he comments every time I use it, saying how natural it smells, but my feeling is that it smells more like strawberry flavoured sweets than fresh strawberries. The two layers of the cream have different consistencies - the red layer is gel-like whilst the white layer is more like a thick body cream. It's easy to scoop out a bit of both and when rubbing in, they tend to combine to make a pink cream. The downside of the two different consistencies is that the red layer seems to sink in much faster than the white layer, which can take a fair bit of massaging in, before it completely disappears. Once the cream has been fully rubbed in, it does seem to sink in fairly quickly and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind. I don't like waiting to get dressed and although I do tend to leave a couple of minutes just through force of habit, I find I can get dressed without the fear of my clothes sticking to me. After using this, my skin feels hydrated, with dry patches such as my knees and elbows hydrated. My skin is also soft and there is a subtle fragrance of strawberry left behind too. One problem I have found just in the last few days, is that the product has been staining my clothes. I hadn't even noticed this at first, although that could be because I wear a lot of black. I had a new cream top, which I got for Christmas and my fiancé pointed out that there were pink stains all over it. I could only assume they had come from the body cream and having checked the washing basket, it seemed my pyjamas and underwear wear also covered in pink stains. I was quite annoyed with this and having scrutinised the packaging I can't see any mention of the product staining. I emailed Boots, but they've told me they need me to send the clothes to them to be analysed and to be honest, I don't see the point since they've all been washed now anyway. All I was really asking was for them to put some kind of warning on the tub. ~~Price and Availability~~ Natural Collection is a Boots brand, so chances are you will only find it in Boots stores or at www.boots.com. It costs just £3.56 for a 250ml tub and once opened this should last 24 months. Whilst the initial outlay for the product is rather low, I have found that quite a lot is required per use, so it may not last as long as other body creams in the same size packaging. ~~Conclusion~~ I have quite liked this and would put it down as being one of the better products from the Natural Collection range. If it wasn't for the staining issue I'd probably give it four stars, but as it is, I think I'd only award it three.
I loved this cream as a teenager and after having a smell of it in Boots last week I decided to buy it. A tub costs £3.56. What I like about this cream is that in the tub it is all swirly, you get a layer of white cream and a layer of a red 'jelly' type substance. The front of the tub also has a picture of a big strawberry on the front and it advises it will give you conditioned skin. For best results I would recommend using this after a bath or shower when your pores are open and the cream can absorb better. When you open the lid the smell is really strong it is really sweet and smells like strawberry sweets. When you use the cream it is best to try and get a mixture of the layers, however you do sometimes get more of one layer than another. If you get a lot of the strawberry layer I do tend to find the cream takes a long time to sink in and my skin feels a little wet and sticky. If you get a good balance then the cream doesn't take as long to massage into the skin, it does however I think take longer to dry than other body moisturisers and I seem to have to wait forever to get dressed, because of this I try to use the cream only at night. Once it is absorbed in the smell lasts for a long time, some mornings I have woken up and I can still smell the cream on my skin. After using this my skin felt soft, I don't think this cream is as moisturising as others I have tried it's not a really rich moisturiser. It does leave your skin smelling nice and soft and smooth. I would give this cream 3 out of 5 stars as I think that it looks nice but the double layer in my opinion isn't the most practical. The scent may also be too much for some users it's not for everyone.
I love the scent of strawberries in a perfume or body lotion and bought the boots sttrawberry body spray just before christmas last year for myself as a treat for all the queing up in shops I did whilst christmas shopping so when I went into Boots last month and saw this strawberry body cream I didn't hesitate at buying it as I loved the body spray so much. The tub cost me £3.49 and it is a clear plastic tub with a black lid so it can be recycled when empty. The lid is a twist off one so you have to remember to keep it out of reach of small children as the scent is quite strong and they could mistake it for something nice to eat especially as the colour is such a vivid red, it also has swirls of white layers in it and the consistancy is thick a little like hair gel. You only need a little of this to smooth over the body after a shower as it covers the legs and arms nicely and leaves them feeling nice and smooth and moisurised. It can be used on the body but I wouldn't use it on the face. The skin seems to absorb it quickly and it leaves a strong scent of strawberries on the skin which lingers for hours and hours. I am happy to recommend this to you if you like the scent of strawberries as it is very powerful and some people may not like this, as it can get sickly smelling if you pile on too much of the body cream. For a novel product this is a good price and would make a good christmas present for any young girl or young adult that likes the scent of strawberries. It's not sticky on the skin which looking at the consistancy you may think it would be, it's just absorbed quick and scents the skin. I have sensative skin and this has been alright on mine. 8 out of 10 for this product.
I was bought this as a gift one Christmas. I love Natural Collection products and always buy their make up. It looks and smells great, comes in really nice packaging and is really well priced. It goes on really creamy and makes you smell gorgeous, but it isnt the best moisturiser i've ever used.
Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Body Cream is amazingly from Boots and costs £3.49 for a 250ml pot which has a life of 24m which is quite resonable for the size. The pot is decorated with strawberrys and you can see the cream inside the cream reminds me of starwberry jelly and cream all swirled up together. When you take the lid off the pot the liquid does look like runny starwberry jelly with cream in and the smell of strawberries is a bit overwhelming to start with but don't worry it does not smell this strong when applied. The cream is suppost to be applied after a bath or shower it blends into skin easily and I find it feels quite cool as it goes into your skin, this is not something advertised to happen, but it is quite a nice sensation and it does leave your skin feeling smooth and smelling of yummy strawberry milkshake. I would recommend this moisturiser to those who like the smell of strawberries the cream lingers on your skin for hours after which is nice. Great smelling moisturiser leaves skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Thank you for reading my review I hope you found it useful
Natural Collection is a collection of cosmetics offered by Boots. It comes in quite a few tempting scents such as strawberry, vanilla or white musk to mention just a few. I also like to have the same scented cosmetics so I just had to buy Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Body Cream as I had a shower gel already. Also, the body cream looked quite fancy so I could not stop myself. First of all, it comes in round transparent container with a black lid. You can easily see how much of the body cream is left in the container and it looks quite fancy - it has two layers: one of them is red and see-through (a bit like strawberry jelly) and the one has a pale red colour that looks milky. I think it looks really cool but obviously it mixes up as you use it. You also need to be careful not to shake it too much unless you don't want the colours to mix up. You can definitely smell the strawberry in this body cream even though it is a bit artificial. It resembles strawberry yoghurt a bit and it is fairly intense. It also lasts for quite a while on both your skin and in your bathroom so it is sometimes difficult to use your favourite parfume or eau de toilette straight after using this body cream. It is absorbed by the skin quickly but you may have problems with mixing up the two layers if you are in a hurry. Otherwise it is not a problem. It is a good moisturiser; after using it a couple of times my skin became softer and better-nourished so I am satisfied with the effect. Overall, it is a good body cream however I won't buy it again as I got quite bored with the sweet smell. One container costs £3.49.
I absolutely love this body cream! Correction; I love the entire Boots Natural Collection with its wide range of products and fruity fragrances! Strawberry has to be my favourite though. It looks great in the clear tub with its swirly blend of both red and white moisturising cream. It has a whipped texture and strong strawberry smell which seems good enough to eat! (Please don't I'm pretty sure it won't taste as good as it smells). I use this cream after bathing to keep my entire body moisturised and love the way it makes me feel. Not only is my skin soft but it smells great too leaving me feeling fresh and feminine. The fragrance lasts for hours. Although the cream can feel slightly sticky at first it does absorb well to leave a non greasy coverage. It's reasonably priced at £3.49 for a decent sized tub. If using regularly the cream may only last a few weeks but even then the results make it more than worth the money.
I absolutely love the smell of strawberries in literally anything. It makes me feel all summery and girly and the other day in Boots I stumbled across this product and the matching shower gel, and never trying them before I couldn't resist a sniff. I liked them so as usual I bought them both! lol I'm such a shopaholic, I really am lol! The Packaging: 250ml clear pot with a black plastic, twist on/of lid to the top of it and on that lid there is a picture of a strawberry on there. On the front of the tub there is again a picture of a strawberry on there and I'm told in white and light pink writing that it is Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Body Cream. On the back I'm told a bit about the product, a warning is given, ingredients are listed, contact details for Boots are given, size is stated (as I've listed already (and finally there is a bar-code on there. I do like to be able to see how much product I have in the tub and I like the way it looks like layers of dollopy cream and jelly! It just looks really pretty! A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Tub: Fruit smoothie for your skin! This two-part swirl is blended with soothing wild strawberry to help moisturise thirsty skin and leave it noticeably more radiant. Me Using It: This is actually really nice to use and very straightforward too! As I've mentioned this is a two part sort of product. There are rich red layers of 'jelly' blended with white swirly cream in equal measures. As expected if you touch the cream it's cream and if you touch the red layers it's a bouncy sort of wettish gel but it all holds well and isn't a pot of gunk. All you do is simply take a small amount and gently rub it into clean skin. It absorbs very quickly and I was so expecting it to be sticky through it's appearance and I was really shocked when it wasn't cos I felt like I was rubbing a posh dessert all over myself rather than a body cream with this lol. It leaves skin smells delicately fragranced of strawberries which although it's a nice enough fragrance it doesn't smell all that natural and is a bit overly sweet however yes it is pleasant enough and distinctive to be fair to it just not as nice as I would have liked. I like the way it absorbs into the skin very fast and therefore you can pretty much dress straight after applying this and it certainly doesn't feel greasy, skin drying, sticky or anything else. You simply can use this and forget it's on and get on with your day (or night lol). The smell sticks about on the skin for a couple of hours maximum and it's really weird but I think my skin feels hydrated from within and very comfortable though to the touch it feels a little clammy and not as smooth as I'd like but as I said it isn't greasy or anything like that. Verdict: Quite a nice gimmicky looking product this is! However although it is slightly hydrating this is more a product directed at people falling for the fragrance of it rather than how it works, so if you have any skin problems you wish to tackle well on that score this is more of a cosmetic type product than an effective skin treatment in my opinion. At £3.49 a tub it looks good and would make a nice gift however I feel this is actually overpriced for the job it does and the fact the smell doesn't hang about as long as I'd appreciate it to is a no no from me! Not really recommended but it isn't vile either so I'd recommend you test this one out before rushing to the tills with it! Only available in Boots and matching products are available to purchase.
