Advantages: Looks great!

Disadvantages: A fair few, please read my review lol

I absolutely love the smell of strawberries in literally anything. It makes me feel all summery and girly and the other day in Boots I stumbled across this product and the matching shower gel, and never trying them before I couldn't resist a sniff. I liked them so as usual I bought them both! lol I'm such a shopaholic, I really am lol!

The Packaging:

250ml clear pot with a black plastic, twist on/of lid to the top of it and on that lid there is a picture of a strawberry on there. On the front of the tub there is again a picture of a strawberry on there and I'm told in white and light pink writing that it is Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Body Cream. On the back I'm told a bit about the product, a warning is given, ingredients are listed, contact details for Boots are given, size is stated (as I've listed already (and finally there is a bar-code on there. I do like to be able to see how much product I have in the tub and I like the way it looks like layers of dollopy cream and jelly! It just looks really pretty!

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Tub:

Fruit smoothie for your skin! This two-part swirl is blended with soothing wild strawberry to help moisturise thirsty skin and leave it noticeably more radiant.

Me Using It:

This is actually really nice to use and very straightforward too! As I've mentioned this is a two part sort of product. There are rich red layers of 'jelly' blended with white swirly cream in equal measures. As expected if you touch the cream it's cream and if you touch the red layers it's a bouncy sort of wettish gel but it all holds well and isn't a pot of gunk.

All you do is simply take a small amount and gently rub it into clean skin. It absorbs very quickly and I was so expecting it to be sticky through it's appearance and I was really shocked when it wasn't cos I felt like I was rubbing a posh dessert all over myself rather than a body cream with this lol.

It leaves skin smells delicately fragranced of strawberries which although it's a nice enough fragrance it doesn't smell all that natural and is a bit overly sweet however yes it is pleasant enough and distinctive to be fair to it just not as nice as I would have liked.

I like the way it absorbs into the skin very fast and therefore you can pretty much dress straight after applying this and it certainly doesn't feel greasy, skin drying, sticky or anything else. You simply can use this and forget it's on and get on with your day (or night lol).

The smell sticks about on the skin for a couple of hours maximum and it's really weird but I think my skin feels hydrated from within and very comfortable though to the touch it feels a little clammy and not as smooth as I'd like but as I said it isn't greasy or anything like that.

Verdict:

Quite a nice gimmicky looking product this is! However although it is slightly hydrating this is more a product directed at people falling for the fragrance of it rather than how it works, so if you have any skin problems you wish to tackle well on that score this is more of a cosmetic type product than an effective skin treatment in my opinion.

At £3.49 a tub it looks good and would make a nice gift however I feel this is actually overpriced for the job it does and the fact the smell doesn't hang about as long as I'd appreciate it to is a no no from me! Not really recommended but it isn't vile either so I'd recommend you test this one out before rushing to the tills with it!

Only available in Boots and matching products are available to purchase.
