Advantages: Gives me a gorgeous tan, can build up colour, can be used for face and body, cheap
Disadvantages: Smells and bit funky when it dries
I bought this tanning lotion a few months ago as it was on offer for under £5 in Boots and I had one of those £5 off No7 products....so in theory...FOR FREE! I have used a LOT of self tan lotions, from Piz Buin to Johnsons Holidays Skin.
The bottle I have isn't like the piccy above but a nice curvy bottle like most No7 products come in now.
I only use this product on my arms and legs as I have a specific self tan for my face so I use that.
The product in the bottle is a dark brown colour, which was kind of unexpected since the lotion is fair/medium. It smells nice in the bottle but upon applying it to my body, rubbing it in and leaving it for a while it smells pretty horrible.
But the results are amazing and worth putting up with the horrible smell! I normally put it on at night before I get into bed so it can work its magic overnight.
The lotion is pretty thick and gloopy and comes with a pump on the top. Two pumps normally does my whole arm and three or four for my legs. It is easy to rub in and absorbs quickly into the skin. I normally roll my trousers up and my sleeves then just stay very still for a few minutes to stop my from getting and lovely orange streaks over my bedcovers.
The tan normally lasts two to three days after one application, but I do use it over a few days everynight to build up a lovely olivey/"just got back from a hot beach holiday" kind of tan. Although I recommend using tan removing wipes to remove any excess from your palms or in between your fingers so there are no orange stains - I picked these up from Tescos but I'm sure you can get them in most supermarkets and chemists. Or you can just do what I used to do and run to the bathroom quickly after applying and dip your hands half in water, so you don't rub off the tan on the tops of your hands.
I personally love this product and especially with it being so cheap, I think it is normally around £10 when it isn't on offer, but even at this price I will definately buy it again when this bottle runs out. I think it is just as good as the St Tropez tans which are more than double the price!
The bottle says that it contains "vitamins and moisturisers to soften your skin" which I think it does as my skin is lovely and smooth in the morning. I have thrown the box that it comes in away so can't give you any ingredients. It comes in a 200ml bottle which has lasted me for at least three months so far and still feels about half full. I normally use it at least once a week, so this should last me about another three or so months, therefore around 6 months in total.
One of my must haves for winter when I want a tan without hitting the sunbeds or getting a spraytan. =]
Summary: Perfect, love this product!!
