Ladies, I have found yet another excellent self tanning lotion that you must try. There really is no excuse for white pasty skin any more!

This self tan is from the No.7 range and it's priced at £9.50 for 200ml which I think is a reasonable price. It's a special fake tan because it is tinted so when you apply the fake tank you can see where you have applied it and where you have missed. It comes in a yellow box and it states that it contains jojoba extract, cocoa butter and vitamins A and E to moisturise and nourish skin. It also says that it is Hypoallergenic and non pore blocking which is the general rule about N0.7 products.

You can use this on your face or body so no need to buy a separate one.

I choose the fair/medium type but if you have darker skin or want a darker tan then choose the medium/dark colour.

The fake tan looks a dull orange when you apply it, but don't worry as this isn't the colour that your legs will become, it's just the colour of the tint. It is easy to apply and blend in.

Preparation
-----------------------
For a perfect self tan follow these directions. I find that using this method always gives me excellent results.

The day before applying the fake tan shave or wax your legs.

Exfoliation. This is important as it gets rid of dead cells that will flake off making your fake tan look really "fake". You must pay in particular great attention to rough, dry areas such as elbows, knees, tops of your feet, and hands. You can use any type of body scrub for this.

Moisturise. This is the key to a real good looking tan with out any dark orange patches. Use any moisturiser to moisturise your skin especially the rough parts like elbows and ankles.

>To apply the self tan start at the bottom of your body and work upwards. When applying to the legs apply the self tan in an upwards direction so you will be going against the growth of any hair.
Don't do your knee just yet and carry on doing your thigh's the same way as the lower legs.

For your knee and feet apply the fake tan with the residue that is left on your hands. These area's don't need as much self tan as they are very porous and this is where it will look orangey if you put too much on.

Carry on applying the self tan to the upper body and carry on working in an upwards direction.

For your arms, section them off avoiding your elbows the same way you did for your knees. At the very last moment use the leftovers to brush over each elbow.
I always get someone to do my back for me. If you can get away with it, just do your shoulders.
Re-apply the moisturiser over the knees, elbows, and the tops of your feet, to water the tanning cream down. This prevents any orange marks and any orange lines. it will help to blend in the self tan making it look more real.

Face. Apply the self tan over the top of your moisturiser. Be careful of hair and jaw line that you blend in well. Wash your hands really well as otherwise you will end up with orange hands as your hands have more pores than anywhere else on your body. To apply fake tan to your hands, get a cotton wool pad and use that to apply the self tan. Use the moisturising lotion afterwards.

The tan will develop between 1 and 2 hours but I found that the colour was still developing after 4. It dries within 10 minutes, but I would suggest to wear dark clothing afterwards as the tint will still be on your skin. You can wash the tint and residue off after 2 hours, but I left mine for longer.

The results where amazing. I have got smooth legs thanks to the jojoba extract, cocoa butter that is in the fake tan. And I have also go beautiful bronz
ed pins with no orange marks!!! It's all in the preparation.

The bottle says if you want a deeper colour tan then re-apply after 2 days. The tan does last four days and then gradually wears off.
