Some time ago my sister gave me a bottle of peppermint flavoured mouthwash to try as she had tried it and liked it. I can’t remember now what product it was but it got me hooked on mouthwash as an idea. I have never particularly enjoyed the taste of peppermint and as you all know most of the dental products on the market today are flavoured with peppermint. I'm not a fan of strong minty mouthwashes, or of spending a fortune for a brand only to find it doesn't last long or tastes foul. I used to use Listerine Citrus because I found this pleasant to use but can cost upto around £4 for a medium sized bottle. I came across Smile in Boots and found they had it in Citrus flavour so I decided to give it a go. I have tried few types of moutwashes since I like them. I once read an article that mouthwashes can create addiction because of the alcohol content. I am not so sure about the alcohol content being the reason for the addiction, in my case it simply a matter of liking to have my mouth fresh after I brush my teeth. Ive always gone for the most expensive mouth wash in boots, but this time i thought id go for the stores own brand as it was so much cheaper and i guessed the ingredients were pretty much the same. When i used it for the first time, i found that it was really caring to the mouth, there was not much more "stinging" than any of the other brand mouth washes id used; it tasted and smelled really nice.
