Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: None
I have tried few types of moutwashes since I like them. I once read an article that mouthwashes can create addiction because of the alcohol content. I am not so sure about the alcohol content being the reason for the addiction, in my case it simply a matter of liking to have my mouth fresh after I brush my teeth.
I normally use the mint mouthwashes, but having come across the citrus one from Boots which was on offer at 2 for 1, I decided to give it a try. It comes in a 500ml transparent bottle with a blue cap and it cost me 1.99 for the 2 of them.
As with any other product like this, you can use it undiluted, and I actually prefer it, because by diluting you just have too much stuff in your mouth not doing what it is meant to do. You can use 2/3 of the cap and put it in your mouth. I then proceed to rinse my mouth and then do gargarism in my throat. When I do gargarims in my throat I have found that with some similar products they produce too many bubbles and foam and I have to spit the whole lot. Not with this product.
On the bottle it is written that being an antiseptic mouthwash it works all around the mouth to kill bacteria that can cause gum problems and bad breath. They mantain that they achieve these results with clinically proven anti-bacterial ingredients that work in protecting your teeth/gums. The idea is therefore not only to prevent the disease of your gums by killing the bacteria, but also to keep your mouth fresh because the bacteria are also known to cause bad breath.
I can confirm that I have noticed that my mouth is kept fresh by using this mouthwash and I am happy to recommend it.
