Boots Soltan Once is a very high suntan lotion, I used the SPF 30 version which is rated as 5 star ultra UVB protection and is recommeded for skin tones that burn easily.

The lotion comes in both 150ml and 250 ml sizes both presented in a large squeezy plastic tune not dissimilr to an overly large toothpaste tube. Handily the lid is hinged to that it can be easily opened and closed with one hand, it also makes ir easier when you are stick from the lotion and you don't end up putting a detachable lid down to get dirty.

This lotion is designed to be applied once to give upto 6 hours protection, because of this it is quite a thick consistency abit like gloss paint. As it is thick you need to apply in small amounts to each part of the body as it is quite difficult to spread the lotion once applied. The lotion dried quite quickly, actually faster than other once lotions I have used, it is stick to start but that soon disappears.

Overall I found that this lotion did the job and did seem to last for the quoted 6 hours, but this is of course pretty difficult to judge exactly.

Manufacturers directions for use:

Apply generously using approxiamately 3 tablespoons of the product for the entire body.

Rub in and allow to dry for 15 minutes before exposure to the sun.

One application allows for 40 minutes of water exposure in 6 hours.
