I bought this on buy one get one free deal from boots so worked out a really good deal. It claims you only need to apply it once and it works for 6 hours and is sweat and waterproof. The cream is quite thick and I bought the spray version of this. The lower the factor the thinner it seems to be and so the factor 40 was quite difficult to get a continuous spray from. The cream does take time to rub in and like any other cream it is difficult to make sure you have covered every area. I am very fair skinned and found that after sunbathing in Crete for pretty much the whole day and swimming I did have some small red badly burned patches where I must have missed which shows that where the cream had been applied correctly it did work effectively. I would use again but be more careful when applying.

Summary: good protection with once only application
