Advantages: Moisturising
Disadvantages: Takes ages to dry, Stains clothes
This takes sooo long to dry! Now I got that out of the way I'll give you more details. This is one of the more modern fake tans in that it takes a while to be visible and fades away instead of washes away - no streaking in the rain/shower. The product description sounds promising - "For a natural lightly tanned look at any time of the year. Also ideal for prolonging an existing tan. With moisturisers to leave skin soft and supple. Dermatologically tested.". However it forgets to mention the eons you have to wait for it to dry in. It takes absolutely ages! And I mean AGES. After quickly realising this the first time I put it on (and ruining an expensive white bra in the process), I decide the next time to leave myself plenty of time to hang around for it to dry before getting dressed. So after showering I put it on my shoulders and arms amd set back to relax for a half hour or so. And I'm not exaggerating. I sat back with a book and gave it at least a half hour. And still it was not dry enough, still it stained my clothes! And I don't know about you, but having to wait that long for it to dry in is a joke anyway. In the instructions it says to wait for it to fully dry and it will then be sweatproof and waterproof after 2 hours - I wouldn't be too suprised if that's how long it takes for it to dry! The only reason I even tried this product was that Boots seem to have stopped making the fake tan I usually use - Soltan Self Tan Mousse. This product was brilliant - easy to apply, quick drying, lasts for days, etc. Alas I can no longer find it in the shops or even on the web site! So I thought if I stuck to the same brand I would be sorted - I was wrong. Think I'll have to stick to mousse - just a different brand. Well as it says in the product description, at least it was moisturising....

- 30/05/02 I have an old bottle of this in the cupboard and found even after sitting on an old towel for a few hours watching TV it still stained my sheets. I have only found the Nivea to be any good. |

- 18/05/02 I hadn't realised that they no longer did the mousse. That was ace. I used to apply it before I went to bed and had a tan for 4 days. |
