“ Brand: Boots / Type: Massage Oil / Subcategory: Body Oil „
After having a good experience with a massage oil from the same range I couldn't help but add to my collection and purchase this. It didn't appeal to me really being 'Sensuality' massage oil. I mean I'm single after all and when I think of sensuality I think sexy and feeling that way isn't much good to me on my own! lol Like I say though after enjoying other products from this range I was running out of options of things to try so I purchased it anyway! The Packaging... A 50ml oblong see through purple coloured glass bottle with a silver screw on/off cap .On the front in silver writing I'm told it is Boot's Essential Aromatherapy 'Sensuous' Massage Oil with Ylang Ylang and Patchouli. On the back I'm told what it is, how to use it, cautions, ingredients, the size is stated (as I've listed already) the recycle symbol can also be seen and contact details for Boot's. On the side is a white sticky label of which the bar code is on that peels off cleanly. All in all a really nice simple bottle that has an elegance about it. What It Is.... An evocative blend of Ylang Ylang and Patchouli essential oils. How To Use It.... To indulge and pamper yourself, massage over your body or add 4 or 5 drops to a warm bath. Using it.... Well I have used it in both of the ways I have described. First off I used it in the bath. I had tummy ache and generally just felt yukky and wanted to cheer myself up a bit. I filled the bath to the brim with warm water and tried my best to add 4 or 5 drops of the clear oil. This was a bit of a task in itself as it doesn't have a dropper and it just pours out of the hole in the top of the bottle. However if you gently do it, it's achievable and I did get exactly 5 small drops in my bath. The oil vanished into the water and my bath smelled kind of sexy. It's a very smooth smell and not at all harsh. It mainly smells of Patchouli which can be a bit earthy to my nostrils usually and I'm not a fan but because it's only a couple of drops and that this does contain ylang ylang it really isn't in your face it's actually very delicate and a bit musky. My water felt very soft though I admit I did miss my bubbles (I got none at all of course as this is oil) and my bath looked a tad plain and boring I did like the feel of the silky water swishing around my body. I had planned just to soak in it as I wasn't dirty but I actually perked up a bit and used a none fragranced soap which lathered up really well despite the oil and I shaved my legs and I tell you now my shave felt so close and when I got out my body was so soft and smooth all over. I was lightly fragranced, not too much either I still could use my perfume etc without getting too smelly! Now this is going to sound really hippish now and believe me I'm not at all. I got out, dried off put my fleecy pj's on and felt miles better but I also felt very calm, and 'centred'. My tummy cramps had gone and I felt fresh, revived and back in control of my feelings. Ok I missed my bubbles but I loved how I felt when I got out of the bath! Did I like it? Totally! My bathroom smelt lovely for an hour or so after as did I, me or the bath wasn't greasy and I felt hydrated and comfortable in my own skin! I wouldn't say i felt sexy but I certainly felt a bit more happy! Being impressed with the effects I'd got from this I couldn't wait to use it a different way. Now I'm not going to sit around of course massaging myself! However I did try this as a kind of body moisturiser and did massage certain points in my body I.E the feet etc. Now the trick in doing this is not to be heavy handed with the oil. Pour a little out when you need it and apply. The other way I've used it is just to apply it to my pressure points (a very economical way of using this product). Lets address using it all over first shall we?... Well a little really does go a long way. It really isn't an oil slick if your sensible about how you apply it. I gently swept a thin layer over all my body. It dried into my skin quickly and made my skin incredibly soft and silk like. As I applied it I could see it sinking into my skin and you don't have to keep rubbing but skin is moist enough to give yourself a massage. It's actually none messy and not greasy as hell which really did surprise me. The smell is wonderful and just like using it in the bath it isn't overpowering in fragrance, though of course a little stronger as your applying the product neat on to your body. I was totally impressed with how my skin felt and my skin genuinely looked very healthy and was glowing after using it! I found I was completely dry all over and able to dress within 5 minutes hassle free and got no grease marks on my clothes. Worthwhile to do this procedure? Most definitely It's sublime. I really must stress that for an oil based product although of course it does contain oil it really isn't overly greasy and simple to use! As I also said I like to use this for quickness by just massaging a little into my pressure points and if I'm going to bed I rub a little into my neck and shoulders to relax me and of course I can smell the fragrance. Very easy to do and economical. Now this way of using this product only softens and fragrances where you have applied it to of course but the effects on how it makes you feel is the same as putting it all over your body (if your doing it by yourself of course!). The smell uplifts you and relaxes you all at the same time. I find myself very calm and focused using this product. If I use this before bed I actually feel so relaxed it eases me to sleep! Of course being a massage oil you can use this on a partner but just cos it's a massage oil doesn't mean us singletons can't massage ourselves and after all I am trained if I wish to do that! Overall... A wonderful well blended fragrance that I'm sure most men wouldn't want you slapping on them! For me it's very helpful as a mood uplifter in a very calm and controlled way. I do think the smell is sexy as well and wouldn't mind a man to massage me with this at all! It's a light oil that's simple to use and doesn't upset my sensitive skin but just watch the amount your using because sometimes less is more and that is certainly the case when handling this product. I find it relaxes my body and mind! Would I recommend it? Absolutely and with confidence too. If you are sensible you can really reap the benefits of this one and fall in love as I have, just go easy with it!
