Advantages: Good quality and value

Disadvantages: None if you like Bratz

Bratz toothbrush
Little Miss likes to clean her teeth and we have never had any problems getting her to clean them twice a day. She does however like to have novelty toothbrushes and because she likes the Bratz dolls, this one seemed to be a good choice.

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING.

The toothbrush is more of a gift set than just a toothbrush. It comes in a pink box with a Bratz picture on the front and full instructions on the back. Once we get the box open (surprisingly easy for a Bratz product), inside is a toothbrush, a cup, a mirror and a spare head. These all stand in a purple stand and each have a place in which to stand. This keeps it all very stable so it can stand on a shelf or as we keep it on the side of the sink.
The toothbrush itself has a pink handle and a purple head with Bratz written on the handle. It takes two AAA batteries which are not included, although they are very easy to insert, because all you do is pull down the bit at the bottom of the handle and put in the batteries. To start the toothbrush, there are two small buttons on the handle, one for on and one for off, so it's really easy to explain to children how to use the toothbrush.

The spare toothbrush head also has a place in the stand, which is useful because it keeps all the bits together. To replace the head, all we have to do is pull one off and replace it with the other.

The small mug, presumably used for water to rinse mouth is purple and has a picture of one of the Bratz girls on the front. It's small enough for small hands to hold but not so small that it's fiddly.

The oval shaped mirror is attached to the stand but is very sturdy and so there is very little chance of it falling off the stand. It's quite handy for children to look at their teeth as they clean.

USING IT...

Simply buy and insert the batteries, switch on the "on" button and off we go- clean teeth in the usual way.

It's not suitable for children under the age of 3 years because of small parts and the handle should not be immersed in water because the batteries would obviously be damaged.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

I bought this from one of the local bargain stores and it cost £4.99, which for what I got and for the quality is good value.
On the back of the box is the website, www.bratz.com but when I had a look on the site, there is no sign of the toothbrush so it's not available to buy online.

VERDICT...

This was a good buy, especially when I consider the price of it. If I follow my dentists advise and change the toothbrush (or the head) every three months, then for around the £5 mark, I get 6 months usage.

The toothbrush and the accessories definitely appeal to children who like Bratz, and for anyone who is a tad reluctant to brush teeth could perhaps be encouraged to clean them with this novelty but effective toothbrush. The brush itself is firm enough to clean teeth effectively but not so hard that Little Miss grumbles that her gums are sore.

All of the bits and pieces fit neatly into the stand, and because the sides are quite tall and the way they fit into the spaces is snug, so there is very little chance of them falling out. The stand itself is steady and for anyone who has mirrors which are a bit high for children to look into whilst cleaning their teeth, the mirror is a good idea.

A good quality novelty toothbrush which i would recommend.

Thanks for reading.

A very good price and it's never too early to get them using electric brushes.
