This with out a doubt is the most painful way of removing unwanted body hair and an experience i wont be repeating any time soon. The way this item works is you have a wheel which spins around, the wheel has lots of tiny tweezers on it to grob your hairs and rip them from your body, sounds painful, well believe me it is agony. My mother brought me one of these for christmas last year, when i first opened it i thought what a good idea no more messy wax and didnt think it would be that painful as i dont find waxing painful at all. Upon trying this machine i found that it ripped the hairs from the hair folicle that viciously it actually made ... Read the complete review

Comfort? Comfort, my foot! This is the nearest thing to Chinese Torture! My husband bought me one of these thingies as a Christmas present. It was used a couple of times, then binned. After all I could not be so cruel as to subject any other human being to it... Advertised as gliding over the skin, lifting the hairs out, it actually plucks them out quite ferociously, leaving very sore, red, lumpy skin behind. Not only did it hurt terribly when I used it, my skin was really sore for hours afterwards. The hair has to be left to grow before it can be plucked, and that means horribly uncomfortable legs to start with. I could never recommend ... Read the complete review

I have always had my legs waxed but the cost and inconvenience made me tempeted to buy one of these gadjets, now I love gadjets but this I hated. I can only compare it to torure. The way it works is that tiny tweezer heads close together while you move it over your legs and this pulls the hairs out. Sounds great but until you try it you don't realise that the pain on pulling the hairs out feels like someone stubbing a cigarette all over your legs and sometimes the force of the hair being removed made my legs bleed. After removing the hair your legs come up in little red spots so I wouldn't advise doing your legs before a hot date. Now I don't think that ... Read the complete review

The Braun Epilady, like every epilator is only for persons with a high pain threshold. The initial strokes are extremely painful until your body’s endorphins kick in, then the pain dulls and is eventually bearable, depending on your ability to handle pain! If I do use it, it is normally after a few stiff drinks! It is fully adjustable for speed and strength and is easily cleaned thanks to the nifty little brush provided. It comes in a handy case of a sunny yellow colour, ensuring it is visible even in the darkest of drawers. It is big enough to store the lead, brush, lotion and Epilady comfortably Most of the hair is removed, leaving the ... Read the complete review

After years of painful and expensive waxing I saw this product which claims to be almost (that is the improtant word here!) pain free. Either the hairs on my legs are more firmly entrenched than other peoples or I have a rather low pain threshold. Basically the product looks like a ladyshave, but instead of shaving the hairs away, a metal-like tweezer plucks them out. Personally I find it excruciating, as it is neither quick nor painless. Its one advantage is that, if you can stand the pain, it will save you the cost and inconvenience of waxing. It is also quite handy to have for those all-important occasions when you have neglected to get your legs waxed. ... Read the complete review
