The Braun Epilady, like every epilator is only for persons with a high pain threshold. The initial strokes are extremely painful until your body’s endorphins kick in, then the pain dulls and is eventually bearable, depending on your ability to handle pain! If I do use it, it is normally after a few stiff drinks! It is fully adjustable for speed and strength and is easily cleaned thanks to the nifty little brush provided.

It comes in a handy case of a sunny yellow colour, ensuring it is visible even in the darkest of drawers. It is big enough to store the lead, brush, lotion and Epilady comfortably

Most of the hair is removed, leaving the shorter hairs behind, resulting in legs that look hair free, but can feel ‘stubbly’. It does take a while to get all the hairs and the process is quite slow. The re-growth gets increasingly finer, resulting in longer periods between use. I would recommend this method of hair removal as opposed to shaving as you are guaranteed not to get any nasty nicks and the re-growth is not so noticeable. The pain is on a par with waxing, but as you operate it yourself, then you can use it at your own pace.

The lotion provided for use after epilation is absorbed quickly and soothes the irritation. I recommend that it is used in the evening as your legs look like a recently plucked chicken immediately after, but by morning they are more or less back to normal.

Summary:
