Premium Review Braun Silk-Epil Comfort: agony (205 words)

This with out a doubt is the most painful way of removing unwanted body hair and an experience i wont be repeating any time soon. The way this item works is you have a wheel which spins around, the wheel has lots of tiny tweezers on it to grob your hairs and rip them from your body, sounds painful, well believe me it is ...  Read the complete review

I do my legs all the time with my Silk-Epil and it doesn't hurt - no more than plucking your eyebrows. I sit watching TV doing my legs. I even get my boyfriend to do them for me (he does it better!) One night he asked if it hurt, and of course I said no and to let me do a patch on his legs - ha ha. He was whinging like a baby. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Braun Silk-Epil Comfort: Painfree? (107 words)
by - written on 23/08/02 (Somewhat useful, 164 readings)
Rating:

Having used various methods of hair removal over the years which has cost me a small fortune, including waxing and sugering, I actually think this might be the answer. Not without pain but the more often it is used the less painfull it becomes, to the point where there is virtually no discomfort at all. The key is regular use. It made my skin hair ...  Read the complete review

I have tried many forms of hair removal but when I read all the bumf about this product I thought my search for perfect hairless legs had ended. I brought it from Boots and it costs about £45. It works by lots of little tweezers rotating and yanking out the hairs. You have to hold the device at the right angle to the leg and move slowly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Braun Silk-Epil Comfort: Improvement on waxing? (177 words)
by - written on 07/01/01 (Useful, 229 readings)
Rating:

After years of painful and expensive waxing I saw this product which claims to be almost (that is the improtant word here!) pain free. Either the hairs on my legs are more firmly entrenched than other peoples or I have a rather low pain threshold. Basically the product looks like a ladyshave, but instead of shaving the hairs away, a metal-like ...  Read the complete review

The Braun Epilady, like every epilator is only for persons with a high pain threshold. The initial strokes are extremely painful until your body’s endorphins kick in, then the pain dulls and is eventually bearable, depending on your ability to handle pain! If I do use it, it is normally after a few stiff drinks! It is fully adjustable for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Braun Silk-Epil Comfort: Slow and Painful! (146 words)
by - written on 16/08/00 (Useful, 77 readings)
Rating:

I have had one of these a while but very rarely use it! The plus is that it works like waxing, removing the hair from the root, so that regrowth is very slow. And whilst it may not be cheap to buy in the first place, waxing isnt cheap either and is an ongoing cost. The problems however outweigh this in my opinion. It is very painful. Dont ...  Read the complete review

Comfort? Comfort, my foot! This is the nearest thing to Chinese Torture! My husband bought me one of these thingies as a Christmas present. It was used a couple of times, then binned. After all I could not be so cruel as to subject any other human being to it... Advertised as gliding over the skin, lifting the hairs out, it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Braun Silk-Epil Comfort: Absolute Torture !!!! (239 words)

I have always had my legs waxed but the cost and inconvenience made me tempeted to buy one of these gadjets, now I love gadjets but this I hated. I can only compare it to torure. The way it works is that tiny tweezer heads close together while you move it over your legs and this pulls the hairs out. Sounds great but until you try it you don't ...  Read the complete review
