I have had this product since June 2007 now, and I have quite mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it is an excellent product - I have not actually used my razor to shave my legs or underarms at all since June, but it does have its drawbacks. Essentially it is a set of rotating tweezers that pluck out the hairs one by one. This damages the follicles so the hair grows back slower and thinner. Unfortunately, whilst it does remove most of the hair, it leaves some little hairs in so you can never quite achieve the smooth perfection that you might want. Also, it is quite a lengthy process and can be quite painful at first. Fortunately the epilator has ... Read the complete review

I absolutely despise having hairy legs. Even if it is winter and I am wearing trousers most days I like to have smooth hair free legs. I have always found that shaving only keeps my legs silky smooth and completely stubble free for one day, two at a push. Apart from the cost of razors I found this really irritating, shaving day in day out, itchy legs, and worst of all, the hair growing back thicker and thicker every time with that nasty prickly hedgehog effect. Basically I am a fan of this product, even though like all hair removal products it does have its drawbacks. In common with waxing, it aims to pull hair out by the root so that regrowth takes much longer to appear. It is easy to use: just plug in, set the tweezer grip for fine or thick hair, switch on and move the epilator across the skin. Now comes the drawback, which is of course that it hurts. But grit your teeth girls and persevere! It is worth it because after a few uses, the pain reduces to a minimum (honestly, it does). And I have found that not all of the hairs grow back, and those that do are much finer and easier to remove on the next occasion, hence less ... Read the complete review

I bought one of these last summer in a fit of enthusiasm, not quite knowing whether or not I'd get on with it - I don't have a good relationship with pain at the best of times. I'd heard that these were the equivilant of a kind of Medieval torture, but I'd also heard that once you get used to them they save a lot of hassle in the long term. I'd got bored of shaving and waxing and wanted a better alternative! And here's the headline - it doesn't hurt as much as you think! It's actually bearable! I was actually amazed. I wonder whether the level of pain depends on the hair-removal history of the individual though - ie when I first waxed, it was EXCRUCIATING. But ... Read the complete review
