I have adored the Britney Spears Fantasy Perfume for a number of years but it's only recently that I actually took the plunge and bought it. It came in a set with this lotion, some shower gel and some bubble bath. Here are my thoughts.
Now I am not really a fan of these squeezy tubes I much prefer a body butter style format. It allows me to see how much I have left. I know a lot of people prefer a tube though as they feel it is cleaner. This is very easy to apply and the dispenser makes it easy to control how much is applied. The bottle is really pretty and is a welcome addition to my vanity table it is a beautiful pink that sits next to the bottle of perfume.
In the past I have been disappointed by the smell of such lotions. I have found they do not smell anything like the perfume, however this one genuinely does. This is such a sweet vanilla perfume and lotion holds the smell. The scent does not last all day but combined that with the perfume and you were smell delicious all day!
The lotion is fairly thick and is absorbed into the skin very easily only small amount is needed and my skin feels lovely and sift. This solution is not greasy and I often put clothes on within a couple of minutes of applying this.
I am not sure if this can be bought on its own however I have seen it on EBAY for varying prices and the set I bought it in was in the Christmas Sales and down to just £15 for all that stuff.
Great lotion to add to my collection - I have also have the midnight fantasy one - review coming soon.
I bought myself the Fantasy by Britney Spears gift set in the January sales, the amazingly pink packaging appealed immediately so as I love the Fantasy perfume I jumped at the chance of sampling a couple of complimenting products for the amazingly cheap price of £12 (including a 30ml bottle of perfume). The snob in me wasn't expecting much as the usually scruffy looking Britney Spears isn't the first celebrity I'd think of for skincare products, although having said that I'm sure the experts behind the scenes (Elizabeth Arden) had more to do with developing the product that Miss Spears! The soufflé in particular has a quality feel to it, more than it warrants really being such a blatantly bubblegum product - packaged to appeal to the girly girl but containing a product that I think would be loved by women of any age.
Using Fantasy Body Soufflé is absolutely delicious. I'm in awe of the product, and am shocked to hear myself praise it so highly - when I bought the gift set I knew I liked the perfume but didn't rush to try the complimenting products, I wish I'd used them sooner though as this body cream (for it's a cream, not a true lightly whipped soufflé) is one of the nicest I've used in a long time. It has a fragrance which sits beneath the perfume in perfect tune with the different notes, the soufflé could easily be worn as a stand alone moisturiser but I personally think that's a waste as it's so much more when used with the shower gel and perfume as a set.
It's light and creamy in texture, absorbing quickly and easily into my skin. It's instantly hydrating and my skin feels moisturised from the moment I begin to apply it; the soufflé is very heavily fragranced and there's no getting away from that, but this amazingly doesn't affect the usefulness of the cream. My skin isn't particularly dry but this prolonged wintery weather is starting to make it feel a bit *eugh*, the Fantasy soufflé makes a difference that I wouldn't honestly expect from this type of product. The cream itself doesn't feel anything special, it's when it has been massaged fully into my skin that I can tell it's a quality body care product. My skin feels soft and smooth, it has a silky feel but also a healthy glow - I can't find any reference to it on the tube or at any of the websites I've checked, but I'm sure there are fine glitter particles in the soufflé as my skin appears slightly 'shimmery' for an hour or two after use. Not a full on disco-glitter effect, but I can tell there's definitely something *there* and I know it's *there* because of the soufflé!
I absolutely love the fragrance, it's completely special and wonderfully blended. There's a vanilla undertone which is incredibly subtle but works to tie the floral soufflé to the shower gel and perfume, to my nose this sweet base fragrance smells just like Yankee Candle's Vanilla Cupcake but the subtlety makes it hard to really get to focus on it too well. The floral tones come from jasmine, my absolute favourite floral, but sadly I don't think it's been developed as carefully as in the perfume and it's decidedly underwhelmed by a jostle of weak fruit scents, I know what they are because it says on the tube but no way in this world would I be able to pick out the melon from the lychee fruit! It's strange actually as I classify the fragrance of the soufflé as very much floral, but when you pick the fragrance apart a little you'll realise there's more fruit than flowers in it. It's the florals that linger on my skin anyway, as well as the ever present barely-there-but-bizarrely-powerful sweet vanilla.
Thinking of it as a body cream I'd say it does an excellent job, I've been using the same 50ml tube now on a pretty much daily basis for three weeks and I think there's still at least a weeks worth of soufflé left. A full size 200ml tube would last forever; it spreads so silkily and beautifully across my skin, despite the dense(ish) consistency of it on my fingertips it's weightless as I rub it in and this improves not only the texture of my skin but also the appearance. The soufflé reminded me of a featherlight skin whip I used to use from Elemis, this obviously isn't in the same league as Elemis but I think it has a bloody good try and is head and shoulders above the majority of fragrance gift set add-ons.
A 200ml tube of Fantasy Body Soufflé is around the £9, which isn't bad in my opinion considering how well it works and how luscious it smells. Before Fantasy I was using Dot by Marc Jacobs, the remainder of which is currently looking fabulous in my bathroom but wonderful packaging is hiding naffer-than-naff body lotion. I had a brief foray in Molton Brown during my period of using Fantasy and also trialed a very budget body cream for a survey site, I could tell from using this widely different selection of body products that Fantasy is actually up there with the best - obviously lacking the intense high quality and luxuriousness of Molton Brown, but certainly being better than the vastly over priced Dot body lotion.
(Surprisingly) highly recommended!
This is a lovely scented body cream that smells just like the perfume of the same name.
It's best used after a bath or shower when your skin has been washed and dried. The cream has a lovely consistency that isn't too thick or thin, it's just right. It rubs well into the skin and it doesn't take long to absorb into your skin either. It smells gorgeous. I would describe the scent as a fruity floral. If you use it alongside the perfume it will help to layer your scent, thus creating a longer lasting scent.
The scent lasts pretty much all day. It lingers on your skin, which helps to keep you smelling fresh all day (or all night!) long. The cream is very moisturising. It helps to soothe and moisturise skin, whatever the weather, and it also helps to keep your skin soft and supple. I would say it is quite firming. You can use it pretty much all over your body too. You can also use it to massage with.
This is a lovely body cream. It spreads onto the skin well, it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy and it leaves no residue on your skin after use. It also washes (or rinses) away easily and it doesn't stain clothing and/ or bed sheets (during or after use).
You can buy this body cream on it's own or you can purchase it as part of a gift set (that's how I received mine).
Another great Britney Spears fragrance! I have not come across a Britney Spears fragrance that I do not like, wonderful Fragrance line! Britney Spears Fantasy is a fresh and very different scent. It smells quite tropical, like coconuts!! I get complimented alot when I wear this fragrance.
The packaging and bottle much like all Britney Spears other fragrances are quite stylish, unique and creative. It boasts a beautiful pink, round bottle, adorned with cute green crystals. A perfect addition to any woman's perfume collection. This is a beautiful, light everyday scent, that stays throughout the day. I purchased this as a gift set, both the 30ml perfume and body soufflé which is a is a wonderfully scented light body lotion, perfect for a delicate touch of the long lasting fantasy fragrance, which also has great staying power, its not a moisterising lotion, much like most lotions that you find in box sets, but the both of them together make a beatiful addition to anyones collection!
Britney spear's fanasty line would make for a great summer scent! Perfect as a gift or just a wonderful treat for yourself!! So if your looking for a fresh and tropical scent, its definitely worth a try!
****Britney Spears Fantasy Body Souffle****
I got this ages ago with the perfume but it wasn't until recently i ended up using it because i have made a pact with my friend not to buy any more products until i have used up ten things i already have.
Britney Spears products are made by Elizabeth Arden . I think this is the 2nd one out in the range and i think there are 6 scents out all together.
The box this comes in is really pretty. It is a white colour with green, pink and blue swirls. The product comes in a squeezy tube that sits on the lid and it is a vivid purple colour. The packaging is very noticeable and i think that it would jump out at you on the shelf.
This smells just like the perfume and makes the perfect thing to wear underneath it.Scents in this include red lychee, golden quince, jasmine petals and many others. This lingers on your skin even when you don't put the perfume on above it.
I love the way this leaves your skin looking. After applying it my skin looks really shiny and feels really soft.
I would recommend this to anyone who has the perfume. I think it is a perfect scent for both daytime and evening use.
