I typically love all of Burt's Bees products and this one was no exception! Not only does it smell wonderful, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. I got it for Christmas which was awesome timing. Like so many others my skin tends to dry out during the winter. I kept my lips moisturized with lip balm (coincidentally from Burt's Bees as well); however, the rest of my skin was still in bad need of some moisture therapy! After using this product for less than a week, I could tell a real difference. It got so much softer that even my husband noticed! Another important point. This works EXTREMELY well on sensitive skin. Since becoming pregnant my skin is so sensitive to every lotion, cream, body wash, etc that I try. This is one of the few that doesn't irritate my skin-- it is just so soothing!
This is one of the best products i have ever used for a glowing, smooth and extremly soft skin. It is really soft and moisturizing. it doesnt leave my skin dry and flaky like most body wash do. This has greatly improved my skin and that of my daughter. She had lots of rashes on her skin and i was really worried, tryied a few products out there but nothing worked until i came across this burt's bees body wash.... it really rockes and within days of use, her skin cleared up and all rashes and red patches( this is due to bed bug bites) are now gone. I have signed up for monthly subscription of this product as i do not intend to change it. This product is worth every penny. if you are thinking of getting it, stop thinking and get it now. you would be amazed at its wonders.
I was given a Burt's Bees set for Christmas and was excited to try all the different products inside. I've used Burt's Bees lip salve before and loved the natural feel of the product so when I decided to try this body wash I had high expectations.
This body wash is on the higher end of the cost scale - coming in at around £7.00 depending on where you buy it. Ordinarily I would never buy something so expensive when you can get body wash for as little as £1 in most supermarkets. That said, I was keen to try this one out and see if it lived up to the high price tag.
The body wash is made for use both in the bath and shower which makes it a fairly versatile bathroom product to have. It comes in a lovely clear cylindrical bottle with standard Burt's Bees labelling and a white plastic lid. The design isn't mind blowing but the branding is clearly from this range and projects the natural qualities you would expect from such products.
The first thing that hits you when you use this is that it has a beautiful fragrance to it. The smell is subtle with notes of coconut and shea butter but also has lovely floral undertones (lavender?) which give over a lovely perfumed smell.
The product also leaves my skin feeling soft and supple which is not always the case with bath products on this type. It does leave my skin feeling hydrated and moisturised and this is a definite plus point for a product of this type.
I tend to use this product as a bubble bath that I soak in to keep my skin feeling soft. That said, you can also use it like a show gel or body wash and this is one of the things about the product that I like best. For something that is relatively expensive it has a variety of uses and performs all of them well.
Overall, I'm still not sure I'd buy this for myself but it is a lovely gift!
Stocking up on goodies in the beauty department at Debenhams, I stumbled across the Burts Bees body wash with milk and Shea butter. It smelt absolutely heavenly and a promotion on Burts Bees products meant I would save 20% on the product. I love to try new beauty products and especially like treating myself so it soon found its way into my basket.
With lots of natural ingredients (I can only find one in the list which doesn't sound natural!), I specifically love Burts Bees products for this reason and find the smell is natural and it behaves itself on my annoyingly sensitive skin.
When used with a body puff the body wash actually goes an awful long way and not much is needed at all. I couldn't believe the difference until I took the body wash on a weekend away, forgot the body puff and had to use double the product but still only gained half the lather.
Afterwards my skin feels extremely soft and this lasts for a good few hours. I sometimes (in the summer months) don't even need to use a moisturiser until the evening as the body wash from my morning shower has made my skin feel smooth and silky all day. Impressive stuff! Made with safflower seed, it locks in the moisture making your skin really soft.
The scent is as you would expect, Shea butter, which I always find to be a natural and calming scent. It sits comfortably on the skin without it being overbearing.
For a body wash, it is a touch expensive at £9.99, however I regularly see it on offer either online or in department stores such as Debenhams. A little really does go a long way and I find that you are paying for the quality and the natural ingredients.
I was lucky enough to receive a Burt's Bees gift set for my birthday which included this Milk and Shea Butter body wash. I love the Burt's Bees range but it is a little on the pricey side so it is lovely to get things from this range as gifts. Online I can find this individual item for around the £7.50 mark or at the moment Boots have a 3 for 2 on the entire range (worth stocking up when that happens!)
Anyway, this product is designed to be used in the bath or shower and is a rich, creamy coloured thick liquid. It comes in a standard round bottle and the lid can be unscrewed or also has a flip top for ease of access. It has the standard orangey yellow Burt's Bees labels etc and my bottle is 350ml.
The smell of this is quite lovely, it is not overly intense (which I dislike anyway) and has a note of coconut to it, it also smells of the shea butter it contains but not too strongly. The scent always lingers on my skin which is an element I like very much of this product. I have to say as well that it leaves your skin dreamily soft to the touch and to my mind is a very effective moisturising product (and this coming from someone with a particular issue with dry and sensitive skin).
A bottle of this is more expensive than a standard shower gel or body wash but a little goes a long way - it lathers up lovely and a fifty pence sized blob will do for all over (for me!) so a bottle will last a while. Personally I would not use this as an everyday product anyway - maybe as a once a week treat. I do believe it is worth the price tag as it is such a joy to use and leaves skin so soft and moisturised.
I don't get as many baths as I'd like, I see it as quite a luxury especially if I have one which doesn't involve a small child jumping in with me too! When I do get the chance for a bath I really like to spoil myself and relax so like to use some nice products in it. I go a bit overboard at times and end up with all kinds of lotions and potions! One of my skin care products that I like to use is this body wash milk... I use it as a body wash but also have been known to tip a little into the bath as it makes the water really nice and creamy!
I have heard of lots of people talking about BUrts Bees but never had anything from this brand before so when I was bought this for a gift I thought it would be good to try it to see if it is as good as everyone says it is. I was no disappointed! I love it!
The bottle in my opinion is quite old fashioned looking, it's tall, round and quite slim. I think it would appeal to people of all ages and it does look different to all the other lotions and potions I have! It is yellow and the label has pictures of honeycombs on it.
It is supposed to enrich your skin and make it nice and moist. The honey and milk mixed together is meant to make your skin feel all soft and nourished and I have to agree that it does achieve this! There is nothing within this product which is unnatural, no chemicals or colourings and that is quite reassuring. I don't normally look at labels and ingredients on beauty things but when I did compare this to other products I was shocked to see just how many long worded things there are in various other branded products. This read to be much more clearer and so I was glad about this, I like to think that I'm treating my skin and know what I'm putting on it so maybe now I will read labels more.
Now the smell of this surprised me. It is milk and honey but the smell isn't really like that! It smells more tropical to me, a hint of coconut in there and this must be because it contains coconut oils. It is a really nice smell though, albeit a bit surprising at first! It's nice and rich and has quite a relaxing effect!
You squeeze the milk out of the bottle, it's quite runny but goes onto the skin well. It rubs in nicely and absorbs quite quickly. It isn't at all sticky, it's nice and smooth and feels lovely on my skin. A little bit does go a long way and it stays on the skin for a while as does the smell. It's a bit like when you apply sun tan lotion and you can still smell it on your skin a few hours later only this time it smells so much nicer! It's quite a summery smell actually with it being a bit like coconut.
This makes my skin feel nice and soft and I really like it. My husband likes the smell too.
I really recommend this. It costs about £10 which is quite expensive but i see it as a treat rather than an every day product so think that it is worth that price tag.
