Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion:

Number seven of the eight little Burt's Bees treats I have been reviewing. This is one I didn't try for ages because the other body lotion in the set was so nice I used it all and then got the full sized one. What a shame I did not give this one the attention it deserved sooner as it's a lovely body lotion.

For me this has the cutest looking bottle of the lot. It is a pale creamy, honey colour with a white label featuring a cow and a bee hive. Obviously the ingredients are listed, as well as the statement 98.2% natural, instructions, recycling information and even a bit of blurb. They manage to fit a lot on my teeny 1floz bottle. The full sized bottles usually have slightly more information on them but I'm not sure there is anything else to say!

The ingredients do sound lovely with things like filtered water, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, beeswax, honey, vitamin E and aloe. I can tell this is going to be moisturising before I use it.

The smell is magnificent; it smells vaguely sweet, milky and comforting. It reminds me of a mug of horlicks but more milky and with a fresh edge from the aloe. Luckily the smell lasts for ages after you use it. I guess you could say it smells homely.

This is quite thick for a lotion but once it makes contact with your skin it becomes more runny and very easy to smooth all over. On the bottle it says it is gentle enough to use on facial skin and I have very sensitive skin in my face and when I used this it did not aggravate it at all and left my face feeling lovely and smooth.

After using my skin really feels moisturised but not greasy and I find this lotion has a cooling effect on my skin which is probably due to the aloe. It's a lovely feeling and after a hot bath this is a great way to lock in that moisture and be left with heavenly skin. Even my tough, dry elbows and knees feel good after using this and I have as an emergency measure used this on my feet with great results.

When I finish the other Burt's Bees lotion I am using I will be buying a big bottle of this as it's just so good and the smell is lovely. It copes with all my dry skin everywhere and is great for travelling as you don't need to take separate moisturisers for your body, feet, hands and face. The little bottles in the travel kits are perfect for air travel because of their small size and because they are such good quality they last ages too so you wouldn't have to worry about running out!

Burt's Bees stuff can be expensive but it is worth it, (check out www.burtsbees.com to find out about all the lovely stuff in their products and their quest to find natural ways to make gorgeous body care products), they are full of good stuff and work like they are supposed to.

A quick warning to cat owners: my cat will lick my arms when I use this, she obviously loves the taste and I have to steer clear of her when I am wearing this!

Summary: Another great product from Burt's Bees
