Advantages: Smells delicious, all natural
Disadvantages: A bit expensive but worth it
I got a small bottle of Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion when I shamelessly ordered a Burt's Bees gift pack for myself. I have really enjoyed using every product that I got in the pack but one of my very favourites is this body lotion.
Burt's Bees is one of my favourite brands because they never test on animals and all of their products are natural. They have strong company values including social responsibility and caring for the environment, and I feel good spending my money with them instead of with a big multinational who is doing goodness knows what to the planet.
Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion is formulated for use on normal to dry skin. At first I was very wary of this product because when I read through the ingredients I saw that it contains milk powder, so I was afraid I might end up smelling like sour milk! It also contains beeswax, aloe vera, honey, and many other lovely natural ingredients. It is 98.20% natural.
To apply this body lotion, you open up the cap and pour a bit out onto your hands - you don't need much. It is very runny and the smell is heavenly - it really does smell like thickened milk mixed with honey. When you spread this on you smell like a freshly baked cake I would say, and this smell lasts very well. I wear either this or a body shop body butter when it's date night as they both smell lovely and not too strong and both actually taste quite nice if you accidentlly get some in your mouth. It neither smells or tastes like sour milk, much to my relief.
This body lotion costs £11-12 and comes in bottles of around 200ml. I feel it is well worth the price if you feel like splurging on a lovely, natural treat.
Summary: A great body lotion if you feel like a splurge

- 15/10/09 A tad expensive for me. An idea to add to my "I would like for Christmas," list though. |
