Euphoria Blossom is a perfume by Calvin Klein which was launched in 2007, as well as the fragrance there are also some other bath and beauty products available which compliment and layer the perfume. I got a Euphoria Blossom gift set a while ago which consisted of a bottle of perfume and a bottle of Euphoria Blossom Body Lotion.
The bottle of Euphoria Blossom Body lotion is quite plainly designed and doesn't have much detail on it. The body lotion looks really plain in comparison to the perfume bottle because the perfume bottle has a lovely shape, design and colour. The body lotion is supplied in a tall rectangular plastic bottle which is pink in colour and has a silver screw off/on lid as you can see from the picture at the top of the review.
I was quite surprised by the consistency and feel of the body lotion because it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Most of the time the body lotions which accompany fragrances are really thin and watery and leave your skin feeling sticky and oily; but this wasn't the case with this one.
When I dispensed the body lotion out from the bottle the first thing I noticed was the thickness of it; it isn't thin and watery nor too thick and creamy it has a nice medium consistency. The consistency of the body lotion makes it easy to apply to your skin because it isn't too thick or thin. You don't have to use a lot of the body lotion to cover your whole body, I find that two blobs the size of a ten pence piece are more than enough because it spreads evenly across your skin.
After I had finished applying the body lotion to my skin I didn't have to wait around for it drying because it was absorbed into my skin really quickly. I liked the fact that the body lotion was easy to apply and that it dried quickly but I was actually quite disappointed because it didn't leave my skin feeling moisturised. The only difference it made to my skin was that it left it with a lovely fragrance similar to that of the Euphoria Blossom Perfume. The scent from the body lotion wasn't too strong or heavy and the fragrance lingered on my skin for about an hour and a half before it completely faded.
I found that if I applied the body lotion to my skin and then used the Euphoria Blossom Perfume that the fragrance from the perfume lasts longer on my skin. This is because the body lotion acts as a base for the perfume to stick to; hence the reason why the perfume has better staying power. The body lotion gives the perfume an extra hour's staying power before it needs reapplying.
The actual scent of the body lotion is gorgeous. It smells quite similar to Thierry Mugler's Angel perfume because it has a similar sweet musky scent to it. The only difference between Euphoria Blossom and Angel is that Euphoria Blossom is lighter, fresher and more fruity/floral. The fruity scent from the body lotion is that of pomegranates and this is accompanied with a light floral fragrance which has sweet musky undertones.
The body lotion is described as having blends of Pomegranate, Dewy Green Accord, Zesty Kumquat, Orchid, Pink Peony, Blossom, Blond Wood, Amber, and Sheer Musks.
The pomegranates, pink peony, orchid and sheer musk are the notes which are clearly identifiable when wearing the body lotion. The Sheer Musk breaks up the fruity/floral scents and gives the fragrance a more richer slightly deeper aroma.
Euphoria Blossom Body Lotion can be bought from Boots and costs £24 for a 200ml bottle. A 200ml bottle should last about 3 months maybe longer if you aren't using it everyday.
The perfume to compliment the body lotion can also be bought from boots and costs ~
£25 for a 30ml bottle
£35 for a 50ml bottle
£53 for a 100ml bottle
Euphoria Blossom gift sets are also available and these consist of a 30ml bottle of perfume and a 100ml bottle of body lotion and cost approximately £27
